Smith and Slater 100% should both be in there at some stage. I'm saying this one necessarily, but at some stage. I didn't watch League until 2017, so I never saw Sterling, but I have seen highlights and he would be someone that deserves it. I also think Furston (yes I know it's Thurston haha) Lockyer and I'm not sure after that. The problem is, this is supposed to be the best of the best, you can't go adding too many, so I don't think Cronk is quite up there, he was great, hall of famer for sure, but was he good enough for Immortal status?

Considering the NRL bought the rights off RLW and changed the rules when Lockyer was unanimously being voted in over Joey it’s about time Darren got his immortalisation. Golden boot from halves and fullback. I prefer Billy but many still say Lockyer the GOAT FE and FLB, even if you go slater you have to have locky 2nd Also the most clutch player (winner) our sports had. You just knew broncos or qld would score late with him or you’d never lose a game in the balance. He’d 1v5 the storm immortals and be the best on park almost every time, he perfected and honed the qld spirit to what we know it today

But boys come on I understand you may not have watched them but surely you’ve got an idea into the history of the game & who’s done what. If they are being legitimate and it’s suppose to be specifically based around career achievements & impact on the game potentially changing or evolving the game or position and how it’s played these guys have to be on the list. Ron Coote, Peter Sterling with Brett Kenny (as they were the 6&7 combination of that era) Sterlo paved the way for Alfie & Stewart to be the type of players they were. And you can’t have Alfie without Ricky Stewart & Steve Walters. So then it’s Locky & Freddy together you cannot seperate the 2 Freddy easily on par with Locky & deserves the praise. Then it’s Lazarus maybe also Lamb, Clyde or Daley after those boys and another 10-20 years we go into the current Era. So if they’re being super tight with numbers it’s Coote Sterlo Kenny Locky Freddy Lazarus 6 have got to be put in. But in all honesty cases absolutely need to be made for Alfie Ricky Daley Clyde Boxhead & Baa Lamb. Making it 12 in total before we look at JT Smith GI possibly Slater which are the only 3-4 that should be considered out of the most current crop.

Slater without his speed would’ve been nothing his entire game was based around his speed. Locky was all IQ footy smarts and ball playing aswell as his athletic ability, insane competitiveness & mind blowing mental toughness. Sure Slater managed to develop into one of the greatest ever but he at no point “changed how fullbacks played the game” that’s pure hyperbole & recency bias.
