I don't watch football anymore, but i remember very well the Euro i liked the most: 1992. As an austrian i couldn't hope for our team to win any match-> as always (until very recently) our team didn't qualify. Before the first match my father and 12 year old me joked that the best thing ever would be if the Danes would win the tournament. They hadn't qualified either, but as Yugoslawia (who had qualified) ceased to exist, the next team in the qualifying ranking was invited -> Denmark. They hadn't done any special preparing or trainig like all the others did. And went in with "Let's try what's possible, we have nothing to loose." They were the definition of underdog. And oh boy did they deliver!
