Scotland has it's own devolved parliament where they get to vote on Scotland specific matters without interference from the other UK nations while the same is NOT true for England. 1:23 As an American, I found the linquistics as this point interesting. Ireland says, "That's bullsh1t" pronouncing a short "i", followed immediately pronouncing "sh1t" with a long "i". Or, did I hear it incorrectly? Americans always use the short "i" pronounciation. When I hear UK speakers (not Commonwealth), they tend to use the long "i" form.
