Link cannot be someone pompous. He has to be likable and sell the role. That said, he should be someone new. I was trying to figure out who should play Zelda and some people are saying McKenna Grace. She's cute, but Zelda should fall in there right between cute and gorgeous. She should also be free spirited and kind. But also have a bit of attitude. With that in mind, I nominate 15 year old, Miss Raegan Revord from Young Sheldon. We have had brunette Zeldas before. She is cute as a button and old enough to pass for Zelda's age.

See, that was my biggest concern regarding the movie being live action. The series has distinct races and a traditional skin tones for the main three characters, but if Hollywood decides that's not inclusive enough (or too offensive), they'll change it. Then, every Zelda fan who complains will be seen as racist. On the flip side, making it exactly like the games regarding the skin tones of Gerudo etc. might also be seen as racist by Hollywood. No one wins this. The casting will cause a stir no matter how they do it.

I don't really see anyone doing well as Ganondorf unless they are a pro wrestler with a significant stature and build. Therefore, the best 2 candidates as far as I am concerned are Tyler Mane and Dave Bautista, especially after rewatching their respective performances as Michael Myers and Drax. Even before TotK, I envisioned a film Ganondorf to be as violent as Mane's Michael Myers while also being wise as similar to Thanos. Many years ago, I envisioned both Thomas Brodie-Sangster and William Moseley as Link however they both edge their early 30s so they may be a wee bit old now, but I think either would still do well. Also long I saw Evvy Lynch being a good Zelda but same issues. A few years ago though I saw Olivia DeJonge in Better Watch Out and thought she would be perfect.

I'd like to see a lot of unknowns, but to me, it's _essential_ that whomever ays link is amazing at conveying emotion without words. Don't get mee wrong, I'm not one if those people who think link should be silent - he clearly speaks in the games, we just don't hear him. But still, he doesn't speak a lot, even to his friends, with whom he's nearly mute. I think an ideal compromise would be a link that uses words sparingly, but we need him to not be a blank face the rest of the time.

Ganondorf literally comes from a desert tribe and it's even drawn as a middle eastern man. But almost all of your pics are really dark black people. Except for that smallish looking 4th guy. I can give you Alba because he has the physical appearance and intimidation of ganadorf. We also don't have a lot of well known middle eastern actors. But seriously Ganondorf is more brown than black, So unless he looks intimidating like Alba. It needs to be a Middle Eastern man. Because that would fit more with the character anyway. But then you want a black guy to play Cyclops. Who is as white as white can be.... Next you're going to be in favor of black face. Seriously, if we're not supposed to have black face. Or swap black characters for white characters. You need to stop trying to push white characters to become black. But here it doesn't even fit because his character as well as his look doesnt fit the guy you suggested. You are too obsessed with how good of an actor you think a person is instead of whether they would fit the role.

Therein lies the difficulty of live action: The actors need to be good at acting the part, but also need to *look* the part. Of course, makeup and costumes can help a little as well.

@rocknatex5013 yeah, But also a third aspect. They need to b a be able to play the character of the part. Most good actors have a unique aspect to them. That plays better to some types of roles than others. Like clearly semi language action place your types a lot because that's his personality. Nicholas cage clearly has a personality type that has made him iconic in many roles. It should be acting quality, looks, and personality. He just seems to think he loves the guy or girl in some movie that is not even like the zelda movie, so he wants them in. Good thing he's not a casting director lol
