Sujy and I have the feeling that we will be disappointed by the final result. None of our favorites are expected to win this Saturday! In fact, Marcus & Martinus are huge favorite to win. There is nothing in their performance that scream potential Eurovision winner let alive Top 10. I can already predict the 15th place finish in Eurovision if they get there. Please send anyone but them and Danny and that's good for me!

I think the problem with M&M is that it is too calculated to be the ESC-winner, which will make people bored. I will vote for Medina och Cazzi Opeia. Cazzi is actually one of the song writers for Loreen's Tattoo that won ESC last year!

Marcus & Martinus were really good last year but didn't win, but this year they're only okay imo. I'll vote for Smash into Pieces or Jay Smith ✌️

Information about the 29th, 30km/h. It is something called "Epa-Dunk". "Epa" being cars that have been turned into A-Tractors with the speed limit of 30km/h. And most youths blasts "Epa-Dunk" music while cruising. Why is it popular with a lot of youths? Because you can get one at the age of 15 with a moped license. That's the gist of number 29 as well as 21 as they're both categorized as "Epa-Dunk".

Finals is this Saturday, March 9th. There are some good ones. I always cheer on Dotter a bit extra since she is from my home town, and this year, I really really like her song ❤ other favorites are LIAMO, Six feet under and Jey smith. But Annikas "Light" surprised me too, it's so good! And Que Sera just makes me happy listening to it. Medina always bring a good time ❤❤

The final is this saturday, its friday today in Sweden so tomorrow evening. My favorites are: Liamoo. Maria Sur. Cazzi Opeia. Jacqline. I think Dotter is overrated and made the final because of her song Bullet Proof, cant really say I liked that one either because all I heard was Voulez-Vous and this year her sexy dance moves kind of didnt go with what she was singing and the staging reminds me of Loreen from last year but with a piano instead of the LED screens. Also Danny went to the final because of his other Melodifestival entries and that his well known in Sweden. This song and preformace sounds to me like any other Danny song but with the lack of dancing compared to the other songs of his. Jay Smith was one of my favorites before I heard the song, I love his dark voice but its not for country music, its more for Metal and Hardrock. I listen to his covers of Like A Prayer, Enter Sandman that he did when winning Idol Sweden in 2010. But I still have this song on my playlist. Smash Into Pieces sounded like their last years preformance but not as good staging as last year, the song is good but not my favorite. Annika Wickihalder and Lisa Ajax, if we in Sweden going to send a powerballad their voices are amazing for that, I wouldnt complaine if any of them won. Markus & Martinus, nice technobeat song but a little too much of that, too much happening on a very dark stage that u can barely see anything except for the light that go on and off all the time, Air from last year was better, and not sure if Sweden is willing to send Norwegian twins to try and win Eurovision, I think that would be more a win for Norway than Sweden. Jacqline both staging and song reminds me of Unicorn from last year and Fuego from 2018, it gave me that vibe. Still one of my favories. Medina and Cazzi Opeia, I did put Cazzi as one of my favorites. Both entries are fun and great songs but I think they both will end up as we in Sweden call en sommar plåga which means that they will be played all summer everywhere. Maria Sur, great voice and great dancer and one of the two that get my highest points on saturday. The other one being........ Liamoo, didnt think I was going to like the song but I do and it has grown on me more and more. The staging is the best of the finalist and gives more of a show than a preformance. Maria Sur or LIAMOO to Eurovision. My absolute favorite didnt make the final...... Scarlet - Circus X. Too bad.

Danny is a famous guy in Sweden and he has done a few catchy songs, but this year he had his most blandest song as of yet. This, combined with his "off-brand Eminem"-look just fails his entire act, in my opinion. Cazzi (the one in pink) is just weird to me, and kinda creepy, as a person. She might be really nice, but there is just something off about her. Personally hoping for the Norwegian Twins to win, as they are absolute pro's, and would put up a good show - even if we don't win. One thing to keep in mind about Eurovision is that hosting the event after winning is very expensive, so the country hosting generally does not want to win. This year has had a lot of lackluster performances. Like A LOT. People have complained about the low quality, lol. Pretty sure Sweden won't win this year anyway, and SVT (Swedish Television) has planned out the songs for this year so that we wont win :)

Jay and Annika both qualified to the final through the semi final. This year we had a new system that was a bit controversial. We had 5 heats with 6 different artists in it. The 2 artists with the most points in a heat went directly to the final and the 3rd and 4th went to the semi final. The controversial bit was that the semi final took place directly after the 5th and final heat. So the artist from the 5th heat that got 3rd (Annika) and 4th (Jay) had performed lived that night meanwhile all the other contestants in the semi final only got a quick recap (40seconds) of their songs. Both Annika and Jay went to the final even though Fröken Snusk (the one with the fun staging) got the same amounts of points as Jay in total. A lot of people felt this new system with the semi final was a bit unfair to all the other artists, the songs from heat 1 I had pretty much forgotten about. So would have been nice for them to get to perform again, like the previous system we had where the semi final was it's own night and all artists got to perform their songs again. As for my favorite, it was Clara Klingenström or Elecktra but neither of them qualified for the final :( So I guess I'm voting for Medina tomorrow.

SVT is putting a lot of money in to Melodifestivalen because it has a large viewing rate, and it is mainly for families, so a lot of songs are for children and some are kind of for fun, and all the artists have a chans to do well in Sweden, even if the quality is not good. Most serious artist in Sweden do not want to be part of Mello. Only if they need a revival. It's kind of for fun and getting played and listened too by kids and families. Some call it trash here in Sweden, and I do agree. It is like candy and bubbelgum, not music that can be relevant for real for a long time. But sometimes there is someone with that quality that take part in this crazy, over the top, show.. Or what can you say about it. I feel ashamed of being Swede and at the same time, as a crazy family party, it is still kind of...fun. I guess, or weird.

I love Danny Saucedo and I would honestly love to see him win just to get it over with, he deserves to go to eurovision. We most likely wont win anyway and he has been trying so hard for so long. Two second places, one of them being to euphoria is insane.

See this is why I don’t bother with the different heats. Too many song first of all and most are very mid and with some really bad songs in my taste. I am too old to like the ”EPA” music, but I am ok with the ”country” like songs if the artist is good. There were a couple but it’s not a genre I usually listens to. I love Jay Smiths voice though and wish he’d done a pure rock song instead. I don’t think the majority of the public vote for a song to fit Eurovision. The majority actually likes the generic pop genre so that’s why they usually win. The final have a couple of those and I think they are all ok but none of them feels like a great song either. That said here’s my top 3: Liamoo, Cazzi and Smash into pieces.
