Hey sleeves, just wanted to share my opinion on squad battles. I am new to nhl, as I got the game in January. Squad battles has been a great mode for me to grind for rewards as well as get better at the game overall. I understand where you and other good players are saying, but personally I feel like squad battles is the only way for new players to use their team and get the hang of ultimate team. Maybe ea could add another mode similar to what you suggested and keep squad battles around for the reasons I stated. Just my opinion though.

Hey Sleeves, I don't know if this would work, but what if there was such thing as a "Delayed pass feature" where like Madden, you can delay a pass and playmaker a player so you can get players more open. Like you were saying with the overload starts and the players not moving maybe the playmaker where u can get that player open or cut towards the net before the shot or pass that could maybe help and even make more plays available. Love the vids.

I like your idea for squad battles. I think they should add another gameplay node for hut that's like 2Ks domination mode. A lot more possible rewards that are not based on how well the rest of the community is doing. With just the 2 modes really to play and pretty much the same objectives week to week, this game is feeling like to much of a job.

Love your vids! Appreciate all that you do. I agree with your take on squad battles for the most part, changing it to a franchise mode would be a game changer. I do have a combination that I feel will help…. Combine with HUT rush objectives. I’m sick of playing hut rush objectives, feels like I’m playing just to get players, packs but most don’t pull. I feel like I’m wasting my time. Shouldn’t the time I put into squad battles build to something. I hate the idea of setting up another “season pass” for games, but there is that already in WOC (which imo is okay but not perfect yet…store is brutal)

Here are the two options: Replace J Hughes X Factor with Svech MSP, then Make Sergachev MSP from Hughes PUCs to replace Willie Mitchell Or Make Sergachev and trade in Modano and Mitchell for Nash. Nash and Svech would both make my 2nd line

Yo Sleeves, question about which rewards you think gives you the most value. For some context I don’t usually have time each week to grind rivals, sb, and champs. So I usually just focus in on one to get my rewards. What’s going to give me the most value? My forward lines are god tier, but I’m lacking in my R handed defensemen in particular. Not sure if it’d be best to just go for coins or maybe team builders? Let me know which mode you think has the best rewards for people like myself that don’t have the time to grind chel everyday

Hey Sleeves, I just lost a champs game where I had 68 shots on net to a guy who had 10 and I got so insanely frustrated that I bought the goalie that stone-walled me (ASG Oettinger). I have the opportunity to replace my hutverse Tage Thompson with the ASG Chara if I sell my Oettinger and return to using my Captain Loungo, what are your thoughts? Also if I get Eichel as my free 93, is it worth getting him if he's going to play fourth-line center behind 99, 66, and Arnott, or if I have the chance should I get a Mccabe or Caufield and power down the ones I already have built for the collectibles. Appreciate all of the work brother

I like your objectives idea, of unlocking new objectives by finishing an objective. I think you should make a video about all your ideas, not for us, but for ea, so they can see what type of stuff we would like to see in HUT. What I don’t like is your idea for sb franchise mode, because it sounds like you want the mode to be competitive. Sb right now is the only mode within HUT, that is chill. We need a non competitive mode like that. I understand people find it boring, but where else in HUT can you try strategies and new skills you’ve learned? I also think that there should be a mode where you get rewarded for the amount of time spent and not your skill level. Amount of time spent should be as relevant as your skill level.

you're suggestion to swap offline rewards to a only once a month cycle kinda conflicts with the week to week fomo designed content system that nhl offers. i do love the idea of taking ideas from mlb seasons though.

With the squad battles/objectives grinding comment, i think EA needs to tone down the objectives a bit so it doesn't feel like a huge grind fest. By tone down i dont mean lessen amount of objectives, but i mean slightly lower the amount needed to complete an objective. Like having to score 120goals with Captains cards as an example for the Captains Redux event tab. That's an unnecessary number of goals. They should tweak that for sure

I wish they would just go back to an Assistant card is a +1 ovr and a Captain card was a +2. Imo if they attached abilities to it that would just be another ability that I don't use. There is only really 5 abilities that are usable online

Hey sleeves I was thinking about the last patches of the game and the hitting. What would you think if they only gave the speed boost hitting to players with truculence and shut down? To make zone and superstar abilities more viable ? Have it cost players some ability points for wanting to be able to speed boost hit.. instead of having every player being able to destroy any one no matter the size.. I’m not sure if they’d be able to implement that into the game or not?

Sleeves! I know this will trigger some random followers/not real sports fans. But I’m trying MLB for the first time… I need help… like everything from beginning to end… it feels so much harder than NHL to me. I can’t hit or anything. But it also feels like, I just don’t know how to work anything.. just so different. I know some people will get triggered on here but NhL is just at the point of being dead, I’m where I want to be and kind of theme teaming it at this point. So it feels less like a chore and more fun. So just want some tips as far as MLB goes, hitting settings… (how to change hitting settings lol) best modes to play for casual FTP like me. Yea just a general where to/ how to start. Thanks and as always keep up the work! PS. For MLB I would rather just be a Boston Red Sox’s theme team if that’s a thing and play CPU this year to get the hang of the game. No desire to play the try hards!

Hope all is good and that you had good time watching the Super Bowl yesterday (It seems to really Big, but I have no clue on HOW big it really is) So Question; I dont know who take as the free 93 MSP, it Stands between Mccabe and Sergachev (Or Svech, but I cant justify to take him to replace Evo Teravaninen on the 4th line) the replacment would be for Reghyr and my other LDs are, TOTY Heiskanen and TB Robinson (the LD would be 2nd/3TH d-pair with either TOTY Makar or TB Salo Also, Hockey Question: Why are everyone (or mostly leafs fans) saying what Reilly did was "justifed"? It was an attempt to serverly injure Greig after a the slapshot EN goal, the only thing he hurt was Reillys feelings, the play Reilly did very similar to the Dale Hunter situation and he got a 21 game suspension.. Why dont you think ( I assume you dont think he deserves 21 games based of your tweets) Reilly should get similar?

Hey sleeves, new subscriber my hit team has been pretty stellar so far but I’m getting to the point where I have to do some final tweaks to get more competitive. I wanna put 93 svechnikov in my lineup but can’t figure out to replace 89 nations of hockey laine on 89 all star marner my other two wingers are 89 live moments mackinnon and 89 totw rantanen but being a Colorado fan those guys are just getting upgrades when I can. Also I can’t figure out to keep 89 live moments Steven stamkos or upgrade my xfactors point for my final left wing spot my other 3 are 93 totw tchuk 3.0 93 kuzmenko and 93 panarin. My d is pretty much set but debating on what to do about a toty player my makar is only the 87 all star but I find he’s still good but I also have a 3.0 Blake that doesn’t really fit my lineups and my backup goalie isn’t set in stone. Any pointers? Oh also for reference my c are 88 sakic woth 99 face offs gunna grab the 93 eichel also have the 89 milestones girioux and 90 power up Peter foresberg I know hes a bit weak as a Center but he’s one of my favourite avs

Sleeves I think your missing the main point for not touching squad battles. Most users who don’t get online satisfaction for whatever reason, need squadbattles as is. The point is most players don’t have the mental capacity to grind online. They need sb because it’s not their full time job to sit in a chair with full concentration playing online like you do. I think hut needs a additional mode as far as your ideas go. I bet your the guy who doesn’t touch live moments while others sadly need to just to get a free premium pack with live moments collectibles. Online play takes a lot of focus so when we get home we want to sit back an accomplish the smaller objectives through sb. Those who can’t play online for a load of power ups need sb and play the slow progression team builds would rather ea doesn’t mess with other users. An additional mode would be the safer play here
