Talked about changing squad battles three videos ago and people still don’t understand smh, squad battles players are something else. Adding a mini seasons type mode won’t slow down your objective grind or anything like that, it will just make it not mind numinly boring to play the mode, and add extra incentives and reason to wanna play and try

I like playing squad battles (yes I am mentally ill, but anybody playing this game is probably not all there), but I like the ideas sleeves has for improving it. They could keep the squad battles current format and make a new one using sleeves new format, then players would have two options, but that would probably require EA to actually do some actual work on the game so that might be asking too much, but they'll have time to put out more $50 packs where you get a few 84s and one 90 card if you're lucky.

Hey Sleeves, love the channel and all the help its provided me in this year of HUT since I'm normally a Christmas Noob, but got 24 day one because of Makar making the cover. It's been enormously helpful just being able to understand the entirety of the schedule of HUT events throughout the calendar year and where to focus my attention as a free-to-play player. Because I'm one of the weirdos that is both free-to-play and prefers the offline mode of Squad Battles, resources are always tight. Following your vids really helped me get my first ever TOTY card with MacKinnon (the Pens and Avs are my fave teams in the East and West respectively and I already had Makar's X-Factor, so I had to choose the other TOTY Avs player). My question is why is there a discrepancy with the content team with honoring Fantasy Player stats throughout the season, but not doing the same with TOTY players when it's their biggest event every single year? You've talked in previous episodes about how this game does not invite you to watch the sport and I never felt it more than when MacKinnon did not get his rightful Star of the Month card for January. Their need to slow progression be damned, but if MacKinnon were to be injured his next game and be on LTIR the rest of the season, we'd be stuck with his TOTY card at 94 OVR because they didn't honor his ridiculous month of January. I get the desire to delay 99 HUT for as long as possible, but shouldn't TOTY players be exempt from this? This year is the most I've both played NHL and watched Hockey in a long time, but I'm ready to go back to just being a Christmas noob when someone gifts me the game if this kind of disconnect keeps up because the grind will not have been worth my time spent this year because both the actual NHLand other games are far more satifisying and rewarding ways to spend my time. Edit to keep pure to the format: I pulled a tradable 92 Next Gen Mario. Should I sell it now and continue working towards the PUI Mario because that one will be 99 OVR eventually or keep him and make the PUI Gretzy instead?

Hey sleeves, as a newer player of 24 I missed out on the toty event, I recently discovered the team builders have three synergies like the toty cards, my question is, for the final pieces of my team should I put more focus on team builders arnot and Nash over trying to obtain the very pricey toty mack an mcdavid. I know they’re the best cards but for my time is it really worth it at this stage or should I focus on tryna save up for tots cards?

Who should I choose - the absolute toddler I turn into playing NHL 24 now (since the most recent patch and the ridiculousness the game is now), or my wonderful fiancè who puts up with my BS and politely asked me to take a break and play something else. I have a notion of my choice, and before i take a break for the game for my mental health, is it safe to say youre feeling a similiar frustration? Hey Sleeves, I don't know if this would work, but what if there was such thing as a "Delayed pass feature" where like Madden, you can delay a pass and playmaker a player so you can get players more open. Like you were saying with the overload starts and the players not moving maybe the playmaker where u can get that player open or cut towards the net before the shot or pass that could maybe help and even make more plays available. Love the vids.

Hi Sleeves sorry for bringing up the squad battles up again. Imo and I'm sure many other squad battles players would agree. Look at squad battles as a training mode for rivals. This is why we prefer no huge changes If we have any big revamps should be one that you talked about. When you have a favorite player. You can play him to level up. Ok i have Iggy but he's stuck at a 88. Can we "play" him to level up. Here's a new thought, , if a new card comes out. We can use it to fast level the card up.

Hey Sleeves fellow southern Ontarian here 😎 I'm stuck on who to take. I love hossa but am stacked with lemieux Gretz McDavid MacKinnon Trachuck Toty barzell and I think my D needs the upgrade more. Have Doubtys xfactor up to 95 paired with Lidstrom icon 91 and 2nd pair is karlsons 91 milestone with nations Jones. Should I make hossa because I love him but he would be line 2 or 3 depending if I bumped mack down or make serg or macabe to pair with Doubty and bump Lidstrom down to 2nd pair. I don't really like having leafs(or bruins) players on my team(wings fan but I like Tampa too😅). What should I do who should I take for my free 93 player I'm also F2P. Love your videos just started watching them a few months ago keep up the good work!

I like your idea for squad battles. I think they should add another gameplay node for hut that's like 2Ks domination mode. A lot more possible rewards that are not based on how well the rest of the community is doing. With just the 2 modes really to play and pretty much the same objectives week to week, this game is feeling like to much of a job.

I am begging you people to please look up a MLB the Show mini seasons video and how it works, even then it can be improved upon in its current state. Also, speaking as a leafs fan, the suspensio is fine but its the DOPS being so wildly inconsistent across the board, thats what a lot of the frustration comes from. Half the 5k fines should actually be a game or 2, then morgan getting 6-10 is fine, but they dont which is why it gets brought up, also this is just the Jets game from last year where "Nothing is better than beating the leafs"

Can't figure out what to do with x-factors at this point. As an LA Kings fan, I keep hoping I'm going to pull a Doughty. I currently have the base X-factor of Suzuki, Jack Hughes, and Rasmus Anderson. With the amount of PUCs it takes to really power these up, I think I only have capacity for one more in my lineup. Should I re-roll in the hopes of getting Doughty on the three I have above or should I not risk it and just keep what I have and start powering up Jack Hughes?

Hey Sleeves! Made my first 93 TB in Arnott. Not sure who I should aim for next. I have Modano on my 3rd line and Aucoin on my 2nd D pair. Do I trade both in now or make another 90 TB first? If so who would you replace first? Or if you have any other suggestions on who can replace them in my lineup. My other RH D are xf Doughty and the free Jones. Won't overwhelm you with all my LH forwards but I do plan to take Svech or Hasek as my free MSP. Thanks a bunch. Love from a fellow Ontario brother.

Need help for the 93 overall choice... currently building Svech so I won't pick him but I am hesitating between Eichel and Caufield. I am a big Habs fan, so Caufield is obviously a favourite... but I also know I probably need Eichel as my 2C so I can play Barzal on the wing. If you could help In debate for my 93 choice, Mikhail Sergachev or Jack Eichel, currently I run Necas NOH on the wing instead of 3rd line C, however I am going to attempt for the 93 barzal. I run a 91 Hughes and 89 Zibanejad, however; I need my defense up as well, running a 90 Doughty and 89 Hedman, send Hedmen to the 2nd line and run Sergachev on the first line. (I am leaning to Sergachev as I like the Sabres and Eichel isn't very liked lol)

Hey Sleeves! Love the content and especially lately the takes you have on how to change the game modes up to make it more interesting and engaging. With that, I have my own "WTF moment" based feedback that may or may not be something the community or EA would be interested in. I, like many, have been re-rolling XF sets all year and haven't had much luck other than pulling a Makar early on. I randomly got a McDavid XF in a players pack and my initial reaction was "hell yeah!". Obviously, because I already built his TOTY, that was short-lived. He's untradable, I used him in another re-roll and here I sit with XF McAvoy and some thoughts. Would it make sense for EA to allow any XF pulled post TOTY to be used to gain back collectables already spent? I could take those collectables and trade them in for packs in hopes of getting something other than a mediocre XF buffet to chose from. At least then I could take any fodder that I get from the packs and roll them into another event to build up my team later in the season. Sorry for the long-winded comment, and yes, Bluey is the best show on TV for dads right now. No question. Keep up the good work and dadding!

He's been so good for me and I replaced Hedman for him (until I get Lemieux PUI since I have Lidstrom right now). My question is this, you told me to go get Arnott last week on your twitch stream. I did so and now I feel my RHD is depleted. I have X-Factor Makar (93 ovr), All-Star Chelios (92 ovr), and All-star Macinnis. Should I use my HUT Champs collectibles that I'll be getting to go and get Seabrook or should I keep Macinnis or even save my coins and go get the 93 Noah Dobson SOTM in auction? If Morgan Rielly gets more than 6, I don't know what to say. Perron quite literally cross checked the WRONG guy in the face. I'm fine if Mo gets 4-6. What I'm not okay with is how piss poor NHL Player Safety runs the league and spins the wheel of suspensions. I beg anyone to watch the Alex Chaisson cross-check to Jimmy Vesey's head a couple years ago that was broken down by player safety and was a suspension. The league always wants to "make an example", it's more often then not, it's the Leafs. Since Parros and company took over player safety, the league has had 12 in person hearings... The Leafs count for 1/4

For the Reilly incident, slapshot guy was clearly trying to antagonize the leafs and deserved a beatdown, but a crosscheck to the back of the head is a soft ass retaliation and a cheap shot, which is why the leafs always underperform especially in the playoffs, they are SOFT. You address the middle finger slap shot move by fighting him, not cheap shotting him. The people who don't get that slapshot guy deserved a beat down are the same ones who want hitting removed from this game, and probably never played hockey. Physical play is part of most professional sports, certainly the most popular ones and most definitely hockey, and it translates to video games too.
