Every so often I'll get anti-OT9 comments accusing me of having biased content. It's absurd to me that just because I highlight her contributions to the group that I must be anti-OT8. No. OT9 was built around Jessica's voice and the evidence is so clearly present. I'm not the one who made it that way.

Taeyeon is the backcone of SNSD and her voice is the one the represents SNSD among korean gp. She is all over the songs in adlibs or leading etc...she also easily covered any Jessica parts after 9/30

Sure J contributed to SNSD but Taeyeon will always be the voice and backcone. Sunny and Taeyeon covered her parts like she was never in the group. We already saw what happen when Taeyeon was missing a few times, a big hole thay J couldn't cover

Jessica really played a very vital role in snsd choruses. When she was kicked out, something went missing on every SNSD chorus, songs in general.

@@divadream I didn't think it's was the absent of Jessica that caused that, I thought as a result of the members probably wanting more lines they split choruses up. We've seen that they can still do all choruses from time to time ( fan, sweet talk, only one, light up the sky, sign, green light, lucky like that, mood lamp, etc)

@@divadream Holiday Night & Lion Heart are the almost the same length as their other albums... promotion was def less for Holiday Night, but for Lion Heart they promoted Party, Lion Heart, and didn't they also promote or at least perform Catch Me if You Can? Like yeah the promotions haven't been the same, but I wouldn't call them "short albums" if they're very similar in length to their other Korean albums, not including remixes.

I get that people miss Jessica, but like if you really support the group as a whole, OT9, you'd trust and support the other members and what they say, otherwise it just makes you seem like a Jessica solo-stan, which is fine in its own right, but at least be upfront about it.

As a long time Sone, thank you for this video. It was really a lovely trip down memory lane. I've always said that SNSD's signature sound was always and still is, Taeyeon & Jessica's voices leading the melody and ad libs, and Seohyun with supporting vocals and harmonies. That combination is the true essence of SNSD's sound, and the foundation of so many songs that made them famous. Jessica's voice is really versatile - her tone is naturally sweet and feminine, and she can sound even more delicate when she wants to, or powerful when she wants to. This versatility allowed her to fit seamlessly into the ever-changing concepts that SNSD took on with each comeback. Her voice perfectly encapsulates what SNSD's core vision is as a group, which to me, is what Into the New World started all those years ago - that young girls fearlessly chasing their dreams can be anything.

Honestly I have my doubts about how accurate this is. Sunny is not in the chorus that many times. And usually their formula is ONLY Taeyeon/Jessica with sometimes Seo/Tiff.

I'm really curious how they go about when to put in the dance line into the chorus. Sure it probably just adds to the desired sound. but likesoo, Yuri, hyo, and yoona all kinda just show up randomly and usually not in ways that are very noticeable
