Charlie Sloth is known the world round for his Fire In The Booth Freestyle series and over the top persona. But, what do we really know about the self-proclaimed 'People's Prince'?
Back in 2004 Charlie was grinding as an independent rapper and trying to make it out of the hood after numerous death threats and a near fatal stabbing. In this video I take a look at a long deleted BBC documentary 'Tower Block Dreams' that focused on Charlie's life before the fame.
If you enjoyed the video please hit subscribe and help us hit our 20K sub goal! We've got new rap and underground music content every week 📹

Can't knock Charlie Sloth he had a platform that helped a lot of up and coming young artists reach a bigger audience. So what if he is now enjoying the fruits of his labour, good on him that's why we do these things. Si I say he deserves respect but also I wouldn't mind if someone broke his sound effects board.

Many a greatest has been ruined by his childish sound effect fetish. He can't even mix, and when Skibbs an' nem was doing FITB, Charlie screwed up his mix repeatedly, and constantly made mistakes which ended up pissing Skibbs off big time, to the extent that skibbs flat out lit Charlie up live on radio, and Charlie spat his dummy out. Good on him for getting where he's got, but god knows how...

"Jordan you've put Salford on a global positional mapstatus" "boom, chrrr, boom, boom shaaaaaaat up" booom" reups ruin it. Let the artist flow and do his thing. Just like the wretch 32 and avelino fitb. That's legendary but sloth put a roadblock in that freestyle by making wretch start again.

Tower Block Dreams ep.1 Spittin' and Shottin' has been on KZbin since 2016 - 2 years before that Daily Mail article (which shows how much research they did, lol). I wouldn't be suprised if he was aware of the upload in 2016 and got hos footage from there, this vid only got uploaded this year and this guy has no more insight than your average fan. This is all just inaccurate speculation and clickbait anyways. Bit of a waste of time to be completely honest and from someone who actually grew up round here, I was just left thinking "what are you even talking about?" Cus he wasn't Lol he tried grime and noone liked him. He was one of them trying to hang with the badboys. Hes smashed it in the DJ game though so fair play to him, but he's got Westwood to thank.

Is he a posh boy or from the streets?
@x-g1
@x-g1 Жыл бұрын
@@fireblade8905Charlie was a posh kid in the streets known as Mc sloth in the mid 90s, he was a couple years older then me but as far as I know he wasn't really on it like that. I used to always see him down Somers Town youth club with one little ratty looking kid that was called violator n a black fella called Mc rider. He went to my school St Aloysius college in Highgate for a few months but he got expelled for fighting, after that, I never saw him again till he popped up on KZbin years later as Dj Charlie Sloth
