My favorite part of this page is those square holes you cut out with the x-acto knife. It was the icing in the cake!

Prompts are so fun because one never really knows how it will turn out. A very Merry Christmas to you too, Luise! May happiness, joy, and love surround you.

You aced this prompt, Luise! The gold stripes you used for blackout, from my angle, resemble the wood slat interior walls with the sun peeking through, as if walking into an abandoned old house. So perhaps Mr. Chester went to visit his old family home in the picture, and the house was welcoming him, as a dear old friend. Well done grunging the right edge to reveal Barbara's stitching. 💖☮🙏🎄

I love how that you were able to create a whole story with the poem and the images together. I would have never thought to cut holes around the page - I really liked how they added to the piece, especially once it was placed in the journal. Great a very Merry Christmas!

I had to laugh at this. At home, i grabbed the first bookpage next to me. And it happened to have the word coffee in it and of course that is the word that jumped off the page at me! So i ended up with single words, and most of them were the word coffee😂😂😂😂

My tip for picking out words for Blackout Poetry/ Found Stories is to work from the bottom up. I find the words for the 'end' on the story and work my way backwards. It stops me 'reading' the words too and allows me to see the words that jump out at me. Thought that this might help some people.
