What I discovered is that, there’s a reason why things are the way they are. Meaning if you see people acting a certain way, research to find out why. Then you will be able to see past actions and understand the why. Without doing that, you will continue to fall for the illusion and forever believe the lie about a people.

Steph Curry contradicted everything he said, “I would not be watching with my kids… but I think it has a little something for “everybody”, well for the right audience for sure.” What audience??? And who are you trying to get to watch it??? I didn’t see anything funny about watching the trailer. I surely didn’t expect to see Stephen Curry name as executive producer. This is not for the culture! This is not for everybody. 😔

Keep that same energy towards mainstream black culture, rap, and all other television shows that only portray us as drug dealers, prostitution, drug addicts, promiscuous, and so on. I had to filter out 99% of rap, and black television out of my life. I remember growing up in the hood, and finally managing to escape when I was 22 when I landed my first good job. A lot of old Friends, and my little cousin did not make it. I focused on me, took out all of the negative stereotypes “reinforced by us” through the media out of my life, and managed to get my doctorate. I am now 35, and live a pretty good life. Shoot, my daughter thinks real hoods don’t even exists, and I am keeping it that way. I can’t even tell my little 13yr old baby girl about how I grew up. Sadly, it is exactly how those rappers that you guys enjoy so much are keen on keeping it.Full of crime, and all other disgusting things that we do to each other. It’s no way for an actual human to live.

This is par for the course when it comes to Netflix. It has gone from a true unbiased platform for good entertainment, to a cesspool of strong agenda driven productions. I would imagine that nothing really gets approved without those at the top(BHO) giving it a thumbs up or thumbs down. That's another reason why I cancelled my subscription many years ago. I also understand that many approve of the downward direction Netflix has taken and see no problem with it. To each its own.

Wtf? If they made an animated version that was true to the original, it would be cool. Good Times was funny, but it tackled a lot of serious issues that are still relevant today. The Evan's were a poor struggling family, but they were always proud. Florida and James ruled with an iron fist but out of love.
