Adopt dont shop!!!! There are many birds like Pebble out there, just waiting for a good home to goto!!!! Life circumstances change and a perfectly great bird becomes homeless 😢😢 please if you want a bird find one that needs a home and give a great one!!!

I adore pebbles she reminds me of my Dad, when I was a kid until his passing in 2017 he had cockatiels, love birds and homing pigeons. He adored birds period. Even though he was a technical writer by trade, his true love was birds and art. He painted many beautiful (to me) oil paintings of birds. He was an incredible lover of any birds. My Dad was 91 when he passed, and anytime I see ppl that love birds like he did, it touches my heart deeply...

Re-home is the way to go! So many adopt animals, especially parrots, and expect them to "perform" rather than react. Animals are so very sensitive to unkindness as well as kindness. Any adopted animal needs time to warm to you and its new surroundings. Be patient. Be loving. And maybe watch this video a few times and learn from the best!

Too many up for adoption. Many people don’t realize they are destructive and need a lot of attention. I have an umbrella she has destroyed all of my molding. Chews my couch and puts holes in my clothes. I wouldn’t give her up for the world. But some people are not willing to live like that.

I once had a job with a director who was very prim and proper. I turned away from her, and she said, "You have something green and white on your back." I just thanked her, and did not explain, but went straight to the restroom to clean the poop off my shoulder. I wonder what she thought it was. I've gotten so used to cleaning up poop from my two birds that get free flight time with me every single day. I tell myself that it keeps my immune system strong! Believe me, my house is clean. You won't find poop here and there, but it's a lot of work to keep it that way while still not confining them in a cage all day. And then there's the woodwork in the bird room. Will have to replace all the trim. I give my conure clear, untreated pine lumber to chew on in his cage, but he still prefers the window trim.

That's part of the problem. People go on KZbin and watch all these awesome birds thinking they are like this. Then they go get one and does not have a clue how much work it is, this is basicly a 3 year old kid for life. When they find out how much work it is they abandon them and start crying over how noisy the bird gets not knowing why. It's sad...

Everyone is aware of the over population problem with dogs and cats, but rarely do you hear about the very same problem with birds. My wife and I support several rescue organizations and they all sing the same, sad tale. They are bursting at the seams with unwanted birds, many of whom have outlived their caregivers. If you don't have the wherewithal do adopt, you can foster a bird at the-oasis.org. They do not rehomed their birds. Any they take in become permanent residents. As such, they are in constant need of expansion and funds to do so.

I just wish people would do the research before getting any bird. All the work involved MUST be a labor of love, or it simply won't work. They're noisy, messy, destructive, expensive to keep and very expensive when they need an avian vet. Then there's the problem of finding a way to spend enough time with them while trying to find balance with the rest of your life. My two fids came to me because their previous owners could no longer keep them. Luckily, my husband retired early and I work from home, so our birds have us right here with them 90+% of the time. If I didn't love them so much, I just couldn't do it

Hello Kelly I love the fact that you are such a giving person cockatiels parrots any type of birds can be very very loving companions but they also require a lot of patience and conditional love I have seen some birds rescued are you sure they don't have any hair left cuz they're so nervous and high-strung and I've been abused so badly and takes them years to be able to come back I commend you I need a job well done from the heart I truly do look forward to pebble especially when she's on a roll and gets her feathers in a fluff it's too much so never lose the faith I know that you're a very important and if it weren't for you these birds probably wouldn't be here right now never doubt especially you are Cathy

Thank you for putting out the info about rehoming and rescue birds. Each Parrot is different, research to find the right type of parrot that fits your lifestyle. Find out the negative as well as the positive about owning a Parrot. Understanding. If you can deal with the negative then you can for sure deal with the positive. I have a greater sulphur crested cockatoo that is a spoiled Diva. Cockatoo's tend to be that way. Love you Kelly and Pebble.

You and Pebble make so many people smile. It’s very sad to think of the abuse this little creature and others like her have gone through. Thank you for what you and the hero’s do. People should not get these birds to be a trophy or am object that is stuck in a cage and forgotten. I hope we can protect their natural environments and these incredible birds can thrive in the wild and not be prisoners to people who SHOULD not have them. I adopted my sweet Dima and brought him home just a week ago. I knew it was going to change everything but boy i had no idea. He is the most amazing little soul and im so glad he chose me. Thank you for being a champion for these wonderful creatures.❤❤❤

Was just looking over some of my most favorite posts as I do when watching Reruns Of Kelly and Crazy Brings tears to my eyes Our star PEBBLES, who can lift even the saddest of us up, and I just wanted to say again if I didn't already which I'm sure I did, that your story of finding this poor thing in a garbage and is now your most cherished pet/family member just reminds me that most of us truly are decent humans with big hearts . I adopted my son from the dog pound, he’d been left there by his family of 8 years, he was so sad and nobody wanted to adopt him because he was ‘old’ and a bit fierce looking. He’s the gentlest creature, took me a year to unbreak his heart, but he’s a happy boy now, loyal and loving. Adoption is the way!

Great job mate! I rescued a sulfur crested Cockatoo abandoned by his previous owner and was very sick and couldn't walk, I put in the hard yards and nursed him back to health, now we are inseparable, best thing I've done

Kelly, you are an amazing man! Pebble you make me laugh when I’m down. I was fortunate to adopt a 15 year old female and a 20 year old male greater sulphur crested. Yes, overstimulation, 4 bites in the past week. The last owner visits regularly and they have been my heart and soul. Mickey even moans when I dry him after a shower...that is LOVE! Adoption is better. Make sure you research before though, parrots are the best but they're a big commitment. I have a yellow crowned amazon, I took him in because he was unwanted and I'm his 3rd or 4th owner, but he's found his forever home. He's such a gentle, sweet little man and I'm very lucky, but he's definitely a lifetime commitment. Kelly, you're an angel xx

Oh kelly my heart goes out to u. Losing ur home like that. But ur main concern is for all the birdies that need homes. U r a true star in my eyes. I wish i could adopt but im too old taking into consideration how long they live. Instead ive had 7 rescue cats and 4 adopted donkey's 😂 Kelly pebble and no doubt the rest of the crew totally adore as do we all🐦🐦🐦🐦💞

We have a wildlife rescue in Australia and it's illegal to hurt any wildlife or any other animal for that matter, cockatoos included they're native to Australia!

Great content! Thanks for recommending parrot adoption from rescues. Remember, parrots can live 100 years, and might outlive you! Have a plan for the bird's lifetime, not just your own!
