Douglas’s autobiography blew me away knowing he taught himself to read. He is like something out of a superhero movie except he was real

This was absolutely great...great guest on your channel. Thank you. And yes I have seen so much waste of my tax money for years working in the outpatient clinics in three states... Pennsylvania, Alaska and Arizona.

Suing "the government". Is suing taxpayers. Time to have a system whereby individual bad actors (like Fauci) have to pay for their misdeeds. Not taxpayers.

No piece of parchment changes reality overnight. If it did, we would be singing along in the chorus of a multitude of angels. What is on any worthy parchment like the American Constitution is a goal, a plan, to transcend and advance society.

The Canadian tax burden is far greater than what Gad mentioned. The hidden taxes, the taxes applied at every level, on all resources, manufactured goods, imported goods services and post consumer industries. The ghost taxes that inflate the cost of all things the consumer purchases. Oh, almost missed the user fees paid on the "Free services" the taxes are supposed to pay for. Some 65% of the average Canadian citizen income is seized by the government.

I still would like to know who took down the Frederick Douglas statue. It couldn’t have happened quickly. But seemingly we don’t don’t know who did it.

Gad and Timothy, like the USA govt, the Canadian govt is the SOLE MONOPOLY ISSUER OF STATE CURRENCY. That means national taxation is optional and arbitrary. _Some_ tax enforcement is required so our respective currencies are totally fungible in our political domains. That is, a US dollar is every bit as fungible in Alaska as in Florida or Maine or Arizona. A Canada Dollar is fungible in Ontario, BC, in every province. This does not require any specific AMOUNT of taxes. All the national taxes you payed to Canada was instantly deleted when you hit send. Canada redeeming its own Liabilities -- Canadian dollars -- does it add anything to the income or savings of Canadian government. Quebec, on the other hand, does not have a sovereign currency. It has to get dollars either from taxpayers or an allocation from the national government. Same for US states. Ohio, Florida, Colorado, as well as counties cities and towns, all need tax revenue. Uncle Sam does not need tax revenue and can't actually use it. All spending is created by keystrokes and all taxes are deleted by keystrokes, at the federal or national level.

I know Chemerinsky was at Chapman University’s law school. His taped constitutional lectures for the CalBar were fun amidst a bunch of dullards. Then he seemed to become completely unhinged so I wonder if he torpedoed Saad

Very interesting interview. Off subject, I wonder if left wing channels suffer from constant commercials as I noticed when I watch my channels. Possibly to break up our concentration. I would not know, and yes I am admitting that I am a bubble person, not watching any left wing channels. They are just hateful and in my opinion void of any acceptance of the possibly there being middle ground

I can't stand more than a few seconds of the MSM but, from memory, every possible communication channel gets saturated with ads this time of year. A huge amount of commerce is done through the holidays when people are the most vulnerable to being manipulated into parting with their cash and credit to buy useless crap.

"...the connection between the virtue of personal pride and the value of political freedom." Yeah, that's the basic idea that has been lost. People have self-esteem so they think they don't need pride or freedom. There's no such thing as being too cynical about politics and politicians. To do any fundamental good for freedom from the federal government, you have to tackle defense, social security, medicare and medicaid, and pay off the debt. Those can't be touched by anybody who wants to get re-elected and those bureaucracies are the government. If you want your freedom, you have to abolish 90% of government. Will there ever be a world without confiscatory taxation? Well, no. The purpose of government is to steal your money legally.

Gad seems to be emoting Ayn Rand's position here pretty strongly with his umbrage to others taking the fruits of his labor. Completely agree, and don't have a real 'solution' aside from the literary one provided in her books about having all the creators leave the work-force. But that, though good for literary effect, doesn't work in real life. "Who is John Galt?"

If the creators tried it, the uncreative political class would send the police in to make an example of them. The parasites can't have their host withhold nutrition.
