I bought a woodblock print from a guy in offerup. I think it is a Kunisada print. He told me that his dad was a big asian collector. He is selling another one, and it is a print of an actor, and just like you said, Kunisada is famous doing prints of actors.

Thanks, always learning as a collector, collecting Japanese woodblock prints can be complicated, you absolutely need to have knowledge about all aspects about Japanese woodblock prints if you are a serious collector.

Yes, yet there are so many niches within prints that you can also spend a lifetime studying. My focus is prints from 1830 - 1900 from about 10 artists, and that little niche could keep my busy for the rest of my life :)
