My grandfather, who lived from 1906 till 1997, was a Southern Baptist Deacon. He read the Bible an estimated 20 times cover to cover. His favorite question to test anyone who claimed to be a "man of God" was, "Who is the only man in the Bible that the texts do not account for his birth, nor his death?" Of course that is Melchizedek..... You would be surprised how many couldn't answer, Pastors included. I miss my grandfather more than anyone ever. I was 21 when he went home, and next month I turn 48, and it's still very painful for me, but I know it is not painful for him. My parents did very little of my raising, that was left to my grandparents. Can't wait to see him again and thank him for showing me the way to Yeshua. Otherwise, I was doomed.

He was never born and he never died but his life is like that of the Son of God-a priest forever." If Melchizadek were Shem, then Hebrews 7:3 would be incorrect since we know Shem's father was Noah.

Others are El-Olam (God of time), El-Roi (God that sees), and El-Shaddai (God of the mountain) are also mentioned. Melchizedek is not a name but rather the title of the Priest-King of the ancient town of Salem (from shalom-peace), which was renamed Jerusalem. The Hebrew melech means king, and tzedek means righteousness, which gives us king of righteousness. The god worshipped in Salem was El-Elyon. The story we have of David taking the city of Salem/Jerusalem, means he took the title as well, Melchizedek. This story can be interpreted as David honoring the patriarch Abraham.

Yes, He is. Jesus actually appeared several times to different people on earth before His virgin birth through Mary. Note in the Old Testament, that whenever an angel appeared to someone and that person tried to bow down & worship them, the angel would immediately refuse to be worshipped and instead direct the person to worship God. But there is another particular angel who was referred to as THE Angel of the Lord. Whenever this angel appeared to humans, the humans would worship Him and He did nothing to stop the humans from worshipping Him. Meaning this angel was God & Jesus Himself. Interestingly, after the human birth of Jesus Christ, The Angel of the Lord is not mentioned anymore.

We know nothing of Melchizedek’s priesthood, there is only one mention of him in Genesis, all other mentions are precepts to that verse…giving us understanding of his role to The Most High and letting us know he was taught as Abram was by tha only one God was dealing with before Abram, and that would be Noah…and he had three sons…Ham, Shem and Japheth. Who, out of these sons do you think was taught by Noah?? Tha table of genealogy is a key…Shem, who is Melchizedek…a man that would have no record of having parents or a beginning because he was born before tha Flood by tha time people in Genesis 14 would be aware of.

Melchizedek was an angel who came in the flesh. God sent him down so we could be civilized. The book of Hebrew says Jesus Christ came in the order of Melchizedek meaning in the flesh.

Abraham was born...give or take...350 years after the flood. Who else could have been so old by the time Abraham was about 75 or 80 years old, you couldn't connect him to mother or, father? Only someone who had lived before the flood! Melchizadek was about 450 years old when Abraham met him on the road, returning from rescuing his nephew Lot from those kings that had kidnapped him and, his family! Shem was Abraham's great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandfather! I'll wait!!😂
