"Who Wears it Well?" (Which Hero Skin is Best in Y7)

We finally have all four hero skins out now, and that means it's time to decide which one is the best and which one is the worst! We'll be looking at all of them from a design point of view as well as a lore point of view! But more than that, we're also going to compare them to last years hero skins! We'll decide who was best out of both years, who was worse, and just how we feel about the hero skins as a whole!

The problem with Ramiels skin is that ubisoft said It themselves wardens animations aren't made for full plate armor. Which Is why It took them so long to finally say "fine here's plate armor for warden"

We all know that is Bs, Warmonger is proof of that. Her move animations is just warden extra steps with a bit of tiandi on top. Plus they could have done only Mail , Gambison and Brigandine armors if that was the truth but they didn't. The closest thing was the chimera scale armor. On top of that they did plate for warden already, the last year Flood armor is plate armor. Its even bulkier than the normal armor, the problem with that armor is that it doesn't match any combination and is too busy on details.

For me, Inquisitor Yinchen would be nr. 1 just because with white material, a white and red colour and with Auditore's esteem effect, you just become a fricking assassin, albeit with a gun and sword. And for me, a massive assassin's creed 2 fan, that's dope as hell. Not saying the other skins aren't awesome or anything, they dope as hell as well.

I like the Vela Conquistador because it feels like an Orzhov vampire from Magic: the Gathering, especially with a white cape. The "Evil Knight in Shining Armor" motif. And then she sticks her hand through your chest

One issue I have with Yen Chen's lore is that ultimately her outcome with the relics is functionally no different than if Horkos won. Horkos wanted to destroy the magic relics and she ends up making them disappear with her.......same result until they get brought back in again. Made me upset since ulimately she didn't end up doing anything to the inquisitors that meant anything. Also to those that say "No way Maddox could stand up against the Horkos army." I remind you that Horkos has also been getting it's butts kicked after every season despite their wins. The fact they're still trucking despite all the death and murder is more unbelievable to me. I'm also referring to their own recruitment numbers when I bring up said death and murder. The only reason this group hasn't been wiped out by a joint effort is because the Outlander rather have a fan club that fight Horkos.

Horkos barely loses significantly, though. The Inquisition dominates and hardly has any legitimate documented losses. While the Inquisition destroys the order of the stake and captures yinchen. Ravier and 4 black priors burn Arabia nearly to the ground. The afeera come, and horkos only lose 4 black prior while Ravier survived. Vela and her forces nearly Brings messoamerica empire to its knees. And all Horkos loses is a single fortress. Even then, vela survived, and Astrea got all of the stolen gold, which negates the loss greatly. While Sun wukong takes out the festival hosts, horkos still keeps quang pass and pretty much the wulin territory. So the "loss" barely even matters. Overall, despite horkos members taking losses, they always win the war. In every instance, their win far out weighs their losses. So no, maddox couldn't stand up against a army of horkos Warriors.

Tbh im just saying probably none this be happening if Holden offed Astera during Eclipse event since both and unsure if they were alone during the fight or they with their allies, but Holden had clear shot finish her off but u know Ubi let a mysterious wolve come save her at last min.

I am not a big fan of the extra factionts like Wu Lin and Outlanders but i must admit a return of Yin Chen would be cool. Not to give her a extra story arc but to give her story a closed end. I see potential in her Character to be a well written character.

I’ve always mained either Berserker or Raider when the game was released but then I took some time away from this game but since I’ve returned to it I’ve easily stepped up to maining the highlander and absolutely love Oathbreaker Maddox skin 🐻

I think vela's story was pretty great actuely because we knew nothing. A good horror story keeps the monster and it's abilities hidden for as long as possible. Plus aside from the pirate hero it's pretty much the only time we got a hero lore that deep dived into the karakters personalty and not just what they have done. Also I think not having much renown or back story before her travels actuely works in her motivations favour, cause that establishs why she needed to go in the first place. It really felt like a true camp fire story and it felt very captivating like you are there with her in the moment. The rest diden't really spark the same enjoyment from hearing the story that vela had. Weeeel remebering maiko story that one captivated me the same way I will give her that. It made you really live the story and step her shoes aswell, sow I would say there on par. that I also think looks wise you should give ramiel more credit cause he has one thing that's by far the best. The weapon even you can't denie strictly looking at the weapon ramiel has by far the most uniek looking of all the hero skins.

Pirates hero skin is top tier for me, followed by Highlander’s Traitor Maddox. It’s so fun playing pirate looking like a Spanish Inquisitor. Every match I go “time to play the Spanish inquisitor that can speak mandarin!” Highlander’s is just menacing and cool but lacks the customization and that’s ok

I see you didn't watch my Maddox video...let me try again. In my concept idea, Maddox doesn't want his sworn brother to surrender and sacrifice his honor and pride as a viking and warrior. He'd rather see his brother dead than to surrender and be made a slave to Horkos. So he kills his brother to prevent that from happening. For him it's better to die with his honor and valor than to live as a slave and weakling.

@RavenKnightYT It's a comedic take. I was making a funny. I was attempting to make a joke at the expense of the character and at the expense of Ubisoft. Didn't Maddox kill his brother in the actual story? Maddox wants to surrender like a chump. His brother would rather die in combat. Maddox kills him. Am I incorrect? Am I crossing wires between your story and the cannon one. You wanted Maddox to have a spine and prefer dying on his feet while his brother wants to live on his knees. The cannon story is reversed. If that's the correct understanding, then the joke is that Maddox submitted to Astra after begging his brother to do so and then went and killed his brother. Even though he really wanted his brother to live in submission hence the funny where he wanted his brother to live and killed him anyways. Did I get any of that backwards?

Honestly in terms of Lore I agree Meiko did the best. In terms of best look I'd go Maddox in first and Wukong in second. Mainly cuz while I love the design for Wukong there's something about Maddox mix of savagery with the tiger pelt, good armor with the chainmail, and his well constructed weapon that draws me in more. Still it is insanely close between the two.

I'm gonna put Ramiel in the bottom for lore, cause I'm still pissed at how shamelessly Ubisoft lied about the battlepass execution. Go watch the warriors den for Ramiel's bit. They said that the execution was a "look into the lore of how Ramiel vanquished his rival", when the execution was literally ripped straight from Lord of the Rings. Just say you wanted to make a reference. Stop trying to pretend you put a lot of effort into it

Seeing these are always funny and yet I always feel wrong even though it is literally just opinion, while everyine ranks Maddox so high I was disappointed when I saw him, he felt to boring especially coming after Mr.Monkey who I I didn't like until I completely saw him, if fact his feathers on top are favorite part. Then there's the other two, for me I'm the same as you it's hard to pick which one is better as they are both amazing, however it's easy when I look at it as which I would be OK with wearing and not having customization and that means Yin Chen wins, maybe its because she just looks like a different hero entirely. Even though I like Maddox's armor as much as that raider skin that I don't remember the name of we can agree on one thing, the sword is amazing. This is looks alone, cause to be honest as cool as the lore to thus game CAN be, it doesn't seem lore is the primary goal for the devs. I wanted to say this but not get yelled at for not liking Maddox and I felt like here was a good place.

For appearance alone, I think that Meiko is probably tied with Wukong. Wukong's overall appearance is more detailed, but the actual small details go to Meiko. With Wukong, I looked at the skin for a few minutes, saw how cool everything looked, and that was it. With Meiko, I still found myself discovering new details days after I bought it. For lore, the Inquisitor is probably my favorite objectively (subjectively, it's Meiko, because I love the story of the Jurogumo), but I didn't look heavy into the lore of everyone. For Maddox, I don't see why people like his design so much. It's very basic and looks like it could just be an armor. Characters like Meiko, Wukong, and Ravier give us unique looks that don't suit their character. Maddox is wearing something Gryphon would wear tbh. As for Maddox's lore, I think there's definitely an argument to be made for him being a wolf in Astrea's eyes. For one, you have to remember that Astrea has a bit of a warped view of Apollyon's ideals, so they aren't 1 to 1. Secondly, Maddox can be seen as the one fighting for survival and betraying those close to him to win. I could definitely see Astrea viewing those who would die for honor as weak and sheep-like. I view Astrea as far less honorable than Apollyon, and so I believe that she would respect fighting for survival over dying for honor. Basically, Apollyon would emote before a duel, but Astrea would take the opportunity to ledge you.

Tbh gonna agree with Yinchen story was kinda bs they just left massive cliffhanger of her fate she fighting both cultist and Fury of Horkros on both ends. After this decided made headcanon two ways. 1. Yinchen probably went somewhere far way vanished off face of the earth along with artifacts with them, Never to be seen or hurd from again. 2. Yinchen leaves heathmoor and hidden artifacts some where only she knows where their locations, then returns joins Chimera help take fight against Horkros.
