Pray for His Spirit and He will make His Home with you. You will be in Him and He will be in you forever. It all begins with repentance. Turn from your sins and turn to Him. He will hear you and rescue you.

I always thought it was the Old Testament saints that were waiting to be let out of paradise and taken to heaven, but I believe the dark side could hear him too because he took the keys of death and hell. Plus when he ascended he gave gifts to men.

It's a seed war (Gen 3:15), so we have forbidden mixture, hybrid "people" (fallen angel & human/Nephilim) to consider for the flood and up to current day (is my quick input). Thanks for laying out various views and tackling a challenging topic, Bill! 🙂

I agree with John MacArthur when he says they are demon spirits. Because in Revelation 6:9 it says they were souls who were slain. If they were people in hell who died Jesus preached to, He would have called them souls, not spirits. When the Bible talks about people that died, it refers to them as souls, but when it talks about demons or fallen angels, it calls them spirits. When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of all who had been martyred for the word of God and for being faithful in their testimony. ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬ ‭ Also, Jesus did make it a point to publicly shame all the demons after dying on the cross to prove His victory. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬

Fallen Angels are unredeemable. It doesn't make sense that Jesus would preach to beings that can't be saved. Jesus had to be preaching to people who died that were waiting for him to give his life at the time he did, so all could be saved.

The harrowing of hades or the descent of Christ into hell, with Him preaching the gospel to dead people, is based on 1 Peter 4:6 and not 1 Peter 3:19-20, which is indeed about fallen angels.

Read, study, and cross reference the book! Compare scripture with scripture. There are two groups here in the center of the earth (Luke 16) Hell/place of torment ---->Gulf---->Paradise,aka Abraham's bosom group 1 --> Everyone who was ever "saved/counted as righteous" before Jesus Christ ever came and died. Luke 16 clearly shows Abraham is even there. These saved souls although they had their sins forgiven, they had not been taken away (John 1:29) They were waiting to be redeemed! Jesus led captivity captive! Also you have in 1 peter 4:6 the "gospel" being preached to them. This "gospel" is the 1 cor 15:1-4 gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ that gives eternal life. Remember "gospel" means "good news, or glad tidings" & also remember there are more than one "gospel" in the bible. They are not all the same. group 2 --> Hebrews 1:7 says angels are spirits. In 1 peter 3:19 you have Jesus Christ preaching to these "spirits" but notice how "gospel" is not mentioned like in 1 Peter 4:6?? Its because it was a preaching of CONDEMNATION. These spirits are the sons of god mentioned in Genesis 6. Lastly a couple facts about hell that makes it a prison. Jesus Christ says he has the keys of death and hell. Only a prison would have a gate/lock that needs keys When Jonah died and went to hell he speak of its bars. Yes people read your bible and you'll see Jonah did in fact die! None of this is any reason to break fellowship over with a fellow believer, but it is something you should read and study to know even more about that blessed book you have in your possession. If you haven't been reading it, no shame just pick it up and start again, and if you have a daily routine to read it then keep it up! God bless!

I agree Christ was sent to save the people of this Earth not the spirits. People read the Bible but cannot understand because they do not have the spirit of God within them. Christ will tell them, how do you not understand this? Sometimes Christ does things that we not understand that is not written the Bible however it corresponds with the Bible.
