Kanye west is definitely one of the blueprints that comes to rebranding and “changing it up” in hip hop and succeeding. He’s definitely a blueprint for a lot of these artists

Ice spice literally said that she makes fun baddie party music. You think that type of lyrical content makes for a long lasting career? If she doesn’t start adding substance. She won’t last. Don’t care how good her team is. And on top of that her personality is too calm to truly be an entertainer like Cardi b. And I like her, so this isn’t from a malicious place. 10 years .. is OD

One of the next superstars in Hip-Hop? Doechii *absolutely* has that potential, Baby Keem is on his way, and Kenny Mason could easily break into the highest mainstream stratosphere with just a little bit of luck. Don't know if Cordae will ever be a "superstar", but he's definitely putting in all the necessary work, imo.

It's hard to do a "next superstar" with rap being pushed as pop "real rap" doesn't really reach the frontline and a lot of raps chosen ones keep passing before or during their prime like we didn't get the full JUICEWRLD rap album but he'd bar out, XXX, Pop Smoke, Mac Miller was still sooo young, and even the ones I didn't know like King Von it's just painful to watch us lose an era of quality rap/hiphop

Ebro is just trying to keep his celebrity friendships. Ice Spice is not gonna be here for a long time. I like her, we’re both from the Bronx .. I’m rooting for her ..: but she’s not a superstar…. Her teams great but her persona doesn’t seem long lasting. Meme culture isn’t long lasting & she can’t ride out of features forever #noshade

“& I’m draggin’ ha so she bald a bit!” Don’t sleep on Ice Spice…she got bars for days!
@liteflightify
@liteflightify Жыл бұрын
She has a handful of decent bars. But the sameness in production, the sameness in flow and cadence, the sameness in topic, and being a terrible performer drags her down a bit. Never mind how annoying it is that the media is pushing her as some “superstar” when she barely has a solo/lead hit.
@TheDivineMoonchild
@TheDivineMoonchild Жыл бұрын
@@liteflightify her "sameness" is creating a sound that is unique to her music style. She is going to be known for this sound and it will most likely boost her success because fans know what to look for when they hear a new release. Also, you can say she's a "terrible" performer but mind you she is only a beginner & practice makes perfect. She is a superstar in her own right, i mean, look at her effect on the people. We love her. Like it or not, Ice Spice will be in our faces for some time. Her song with Nicki Minaj is definitely a huge hit...idk if you live under a rock tho.
@crystalcastillo7575

@@TheDivineMoonchild by this time next year if ice spice isn’t still on top, ima be on yo @ss. She’s the hot new thing right now & Nicki can’t save her with a feature each time. I predict she’ll do two albums and fade out maybe even sooner. She won’t last a decade and it’s sad your likeness & bias for Nicki won’t let you see that.
@TheDivineMoonchild
@TheDivineMoonchild Жыл бұрын
@@crystalcastillo7575 it has nothing to do with Nicki. It’s the fact that she was able to get a feature with her that is enough evidence for me that she will be around…this is just my opinions not fact. But, if you are right then hey…you can say you told me so
@Step_03
@Step_03 Жыл бұрын
@@TheDivineMoonchildshe uses the same rhyme schemes as every other NY drill artist. She uses the same style of beats as every other NY drill artist. That’s not how you craft a unique sound of your own. I’m not saying this to attack her. She has innate talent and I’d love to see her win, but let’s be honest about what we’re hearing. It will be hard for her to sustain this success without being a little more unique and interesting.

I think that most of these rappers are not going to be around for long. One reason is because most of them don’t want to get old. Because they think that anyone pass the age of 30 is old. Another reason is the fact that a lot of them are doing drugs. And the kind of drugs that they’re doing are not necessarily good to begin with. Actually, drugs aren’t good to begin with. Then they are crime while they are signed to a record label. And on top of that, they are fighting with each other. And the fans are hyping up the beef. Then when someone dies, the fans want to feel sorry for that person that lost their life. But they don’t want to take responsibility for “helping” the beef between the two rappers get worse

The art of making timeless music is lost. Drake, Cole and kendrick are the last mega stars of our time. Streaming and tik tok ruined music fr. Labels wouldn't let you drop a trash single and stay on the label, now your ncan drop anything.
