Who Will Start at Quarterback for Texas A&M?

Greatness is that either can start and either can play. Reed should get the start. As he deserves it. Weigman lost QB1 due to poor performance, not injury. And if Reed struggles, bring in less legs and more arm.

Coach said in the S. Car weekly pre game presser that our passing game is not where it needs to be. That being a given I don’t see how he can then go back to Conner because he is supposed to be a better passer than Marcel after what we saw in LSU game. But hey he’s the coach and I trust him. I’m not trying to second guess him just understand what he might be thinking based on what he said.

Watched a film study of Conner in the LSU game. It doesn’t look fixable to me. His reads and his feet just aren’t there. There were lots of wide open receivers. It’s just that he never found them.

@@franquil85conn Yeah, Reed was limited in those two games, but It's not like Reed sucked in the BG and Arky game. If they would have had Connor in there, they probably lose those two games.

@richardstorm4603 not at all, Connor wins by a wider margin in those games, and Reed wasn't terrible, but both games are losses if it was Texas or Georgia. He has to do better

This is probably the toughest d line a&m will face all season. Probably second only to Texas. The best game plan would to circumvent it or wear them out.

Start Reed and if he doesn't ptoduce points, put in Weigman. I still think if Elko had put in Reed vs ND, they would have had a better game.

Conner had no one open to pass to in LSU game. LSU was sending 6 deep in DBs. A&M was running 3 out and out of backfield. Kleins hardly ever uses tightends. Kleins offense is built for if you got great recievers yea then conner can pass . Under Fisher conner Weigman passing game was more effective. Fisher uses more targets to pass too. I am not a fan of kleins play calling or even his offensive style. To be honest its the defense thats winning games. A&M has built a great running game behind Moss. But they really have no passing game right now. Marcel Reed is not a solid passer. I dont know if Weigman is going to stick around. Better get a good passing game going or they will get hammered by someone. Because if they had to play Georgia next then game is over because Georgia woyld shut down Reed.

@@franquil85conn " rewatch Marcel vs BG and tell me how great he did." He threw for 173 yards, with two TDs, and RAN for 91 yards. That looks pretty good to me. And NO, BG isn't a juggernaut, but neither was the team that beat ND. As for Arky, yeah, he only threw for 163 yard, and it was at 50 percent completion rate, but he took care of the ball and he threw 2 TDs in a game that HAS always been close despite the fact that this last game really wasn't as close as the score indicates. A&M was never really in any threat in that game.
