SWV was in a class of their own. I bought the CDs the tapes the singles the Maxi singles because they were just that dope. They really couldn't battle any other girl group. I can't think of another trio besides Jade that was hot at the time and they don't have the catalog to hang with SWV although they were equally as talented and beautiful.

SWV came from _the_ era of the '90s R&B girl group. In addition to them, it was also TLC, 702, Brownstone, Xscape, En Vogue, Total, Blaque, Destiny's Child, Jade as well as Zhane. And a lot of countless others who got lost in the sauce, went unnoticed, underrated or did not have longevity. The magic/creativity that those groups had could never/should ever be duplicated again.

The Xscape battle would be the obvious choice. The number of members doesn't matter much, but they both had similar music and nice runs during the 90s. Xscape music matches closer to SWV than EnVogue. TLC was alittle more commercial, Brownstone, Jade and Total catalogue really isn't long as SWV either.
