It's clear, it should be either Messi or a City player, and if you choose a City player it shouldn't be Haaland. He was not even the 3rd best player in that squad last year. Objectively, KDB, Rodri and Bernardo Silva were all better throughout the season, especially in the most important games: KDB vs Real Madrid 1st leg, Arsenal both games (literally solo winning the title decider), Bernardo Silva vs Real Madrid 2nd leg and Inter, and Rodri pretty much every single game was near perfect. But it's France Football, so it always goes to the striker.
