Really nice solve! I got tripped up by the left column today. Strategy tip that you likely have already heard but might need to be reminded of is that Squardle, as most 5-letter Wordle variants in English, uses the same list of answers as OG Wordle. That means that plural forms of words and 3rd person present tenses of verbs (ie FEEDS or LONGS) can't be a correct answer even though they are allowed as guesses. So any time you consider putting an S last in a word you should hear warning bells to check if that really works. Of course there *are* words that end in S in the list of answers, and they often end in double-S, and/or are nouns where the singular form ends with an S like CHAOS or REBUS or some odd verb where the base form ends with an S like FOCUS (that's also a noun come to think of it). So COATS is currently not a possible answer. So my advice isn't to never guess an S last. My advice is that every time you consider putting an S last, stop to think if it's another form of the same base word if you removed the S. If so the word's likely not the correct answer. Having said that, I am currently *considering* expanding the word list for Weekly Squardle (but not daily or freeplay) to include plurals and 3rd person present to not run out of legal boards. It's possible that there are enough other English words that are known enough that adding those instead might be enough. I'm currently running a crowd sourcing project to sort five letters words people recognize as words from those they don't know are words. The link is in Squardle's FAQ, or just replace /squardle/ with /word-sorter/ in the URL if you or else anyone reading this want to give your input on what words should be considered for inclusion. I'm also planning on making that sorting data available for anyone else who want to make word games.

For speed, I give up on the guess preservation strategy and just go to removing all the purple from my keyboard so I know exactly what letters are in my grid. My first six words are SQUAT, VIXEN, GLITZ, WHACK, FJORD, and BUMPY, but I pay attention to the four letters that appear twice in this set (TAUI) and make slight adjustments to the order based on the clues for those letters. This really helps if you get a grid with an X, Q, and Z in it. 🙂

This squardle was insane for me. First two guesses were all white and black (TREND and SHAWL) then I guessed POUTY which has 3 blacks. Out of nowhere I decide to guess MOCHA because it fit with the O A pattern I was getting and I jumped it was right!
