Two weeks ago, the Taliban announced they would adopt King Zahir era monarchical constitution on "temporary" basis. What that actually means to the monarchy itself has not been clarified.
@clivebanks8933 жыл бұрын
Aki Kolehmainen. This is a surprise to me. The Taliban are Pashtuns like to Barakzai dynasty. But the Barakzai were very westernized, so I am surprised at this move. Crown Prince Ahmed Shah Kahn is a poet who has little interest in politics, but his sons might be interested. Who does the Taliban propose should be king? King Zahir Shah's constitution gave non=Pashtun tribes an opportunity to be represented in parliament and government. He blocked his cousin's return to politics which is why his cousin staged a coup d'etat in 1973. This cousin, Mohammed Daoud Khan was later slaughtered along with his entire family by the communists in 1978.

facts to point out, the founder of the taliban, Mullah Omar was Hotak and ex presdent Hamid Karzai is Popal. in afghanistan Power has shifted from tribe to tribe ( most powerful or that has achives the most at the time ) as it must be. If you leave power in individual family you end up with psychopaths like Shujah Shah, or that Abdur Rahman ( he genecided 60-80% of the hazzar people). The Greatest Afghan who ever lived ( in my opinion) was Mirwais Hotak, he freed his people from the brutal rule of the safavids ( they had installed a geogian mercenary as Government to subjugate the pasthuns), and then conquered most Iran it self. Mirwais Hotak refused to be called King/ Shah, he said, those who want to be ruled by a king/shah are free to go elsewhere and find some tyrant to rule them. Those who want to live as free men follow me".
