My all time favorite Sandler movie...I'm nearing 40 and I still laugh at this like I'm a kid again. Fun Fact: The Dodgeball scene was real, Sandler told the producers he was just going to go full force and launch that ball at the children. So one of the kids he hit too hard and they started crying, so a parent got pissed off and started lecturing him about it.

When we were kids the debate was always Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison? When you're a kid the answer is always Happy Gilmore because it's the more adult geared comedy with more sware words and violence and it doesn't have a bunch of kids in it. But it's clear as day as you get older that Billy Madison is the superior movie. Especially because it has a PG rating, they have to be smarter, more subtle with their jokes. Everything is delivery. That news bit where they say Billy Madisons name and Norm says "Now, now. Maybe it's someone else" makes me hard laugh every time I hear it.

The death of the O’Doyle family is made funnier by the fact that not a single one of them contributes anything to the overall plot of the movie. Each O’Doyle randomly appears, causes chaos, mostly for Billy, and then disappears just as fast. The fact that their deaths come just as suddenly and chaotically at random is what makes them so memorable despite collectively having less than 3 minutes screen time in this movie.
