this information is entirely incorrect. please check your facts before you say things to new fans. Suga has produced considerably more songs, as a credited producer, for BTS than either RM or J-Hope. he's also the only member who has produced for other artists, and the only one who is a full member of the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA). RM does have more song credits with KOMCA than Suga does, but that's primarily due to songwriting, not production (he seems to do some preliminary production, ie: on guides for tracks, but not always enough on the finished product for credit - unless he's giving up his credit, which isn't impossible). J-Hope also has tons of credits for writing, but iirc has not yet produced anything outside of Hope World.

@@cake6787 new fans have trouble parsing "pretty sure" from fact, and you seemed certain about how *much* Yoongi and Namjoon have produced. the trouble comes from confusing the terms "production" and "writing," which fans are constantly doing; rap line members help write nearly every BTS song, but rarely have production credit, even Yoongi. afaik Yoongi has been credited with production on somewhere around... 15-25 official BTS songs, which is many more than Namjoon or Hoseok, but is not "tons" in comparison to their entire discography. I know we want to give the boys all the credit they deserve, and I know that there are times when they give up official credit or participate in the making of a song in ways that can't be credited, but in the end it's both misleading to redirect credit and disrespectful to the hardworking producers who *did* actually do the work. I have researched credit on their work extensively, and although I absolutely don't know everything, I do know that Hoseok has not officially helped with production on BTS's discography. Hoseok is my ult, so like... do you really think I want to deny that he did something? this is just fact as it's presented by BigHit and KOMCA. I don't know what your sources are for his production credits, but if you have something more detailed or official, I'd love to see it. writing, though? absolutely. Hoseok has almost always written his own verses for the songs he's in, which is far more than half of BTS's songs, and sometimes writes lyrics and/or melodies for other members' solos or sections. since @Spoon icon brought it up: he was the top-billed writer on Dionysus, which is a great accomplishment-he wrote a huge amount of the lyrics and melodies (though once again, he did not produce; that was Pdogg)-and as usual, he wrote his own verse for Jamais Vu. idk what to tell you... I didn't want to be petty and trifling and shit but since you're offering google to me as advice idk how you haven't seen all this info for yourself. EDIT: also, since you "weren't sure," the only other member who has experience with production is Jungkook, who has helped produce two tracks: Love Is Not Over and Magic Shop. vocal line as a whole has very little songwriting experience in comparison to rap line; all of its members have fewer than 10 writing credits.

Why so many fans continue to only bring up NamGi when talking about song writing/producing is beyond me. Hoseok has always been as prominent in the writing process as NamGi in fact he was the first member to have a Komca song writing credit when he featured on Animal before they even debuted. You may not think it's a big deal but we see this kind of comment all the time and it is comments like this that then result in new fans saying ridiculous things like "he only just got into writing sings the last 2 years". The thing that I love most about the album this song is from is that he posted it for FREE on SoundCloud. RM and JHope also have free albums that the wrote and produced themselves. Check out Suga's full mixtape. All written and produced by him. RM is just as fire! His mixtapes are great! Jhope's mixtape is just are fierce. I cant wait until you get through some of his solo music too. React to Joke by RM next. (My best description of the rapline would be that Suga is like the Em , JHope is like the Drake and RM is like the Kendrick Lamar. RM has really spent a lot of time learning about the history of rap and the old school masters like Biggie, Warren G, etc.) Other rapline favs of mine are: Outro Tear (a lyric masterpiece!) 3 of the BTS members have their own studios. RM has Mon Studio or Rkive. Suga has Genius Lab. J-Hope has Hope World. These 3 members in particular appear on the credits for being involved with the songwriting for a lot of BTS songs. Jungkook also has Golden Closet or G.C.F. (Golden Closet Films), but he's mostly known for creating these really savvy-looking vlogs, they look professional! Coming back to Suga & this song. Suga's otherwise known as AGUST D, pronounced "August D". What is stands for is that it's "DT Suga" spelt backwards. DT stands for D-Town. Most people think it's because he's from a place called Daegu Town, but the place isn't called Daegu Town, it's just Daegu. And D-Town is actually the hip-hop crew that Suga was from in 2010, before he became a part of BTS. So DT actually stands for D-Town, and NOT for Daegu Town. About that line that's translated to "ya'll get turned on by my tongue technology". That's not the actual translation. I've studied the Korean language for a few years now, and what he's actually saying is that he'll take you to Hongkong with his tongue technology. Taking someone to Hongkong is Korean slang for saying that you'll bring that person to climax (yes, think sexy here). So Suga is really being very raw with his lyrics in this self-titled song.

He's raw indeed! He's not afraid to say what's on his mind. He's very blunt! Before I stan them, I do watched and temporarily like some K-Pop group. Later I found them to be boring. I do hate the hypocrisy in K-Pop, mostly artist from the Big 3 are shining; their songs are repetitive (mostly of their great looks, chasing boys / girls), and they're like a robot (not their fault, it's just how things are in their contract and sometimes they seem so careful to speak their mind). To me is their nothing going on in their life? Such a Ken doll Barbie life. But once I got to know BTS they talk about real life. They write about taboo things and they opened up my eyes. I really love how when you go back and look at old BTS songs you see how much they’ve grown. Yes correct it is his name Suga spelled backwards and D T is short for his hometown Daegu Town in South Korea which also the name of the underground rap group he was a part of before deciding to leave the underground scene. Like RM, he was DISSed and criticized for leaving so some of his mixtape songs are directed toward the ones who mocked him! *SUGA IS ONE OF MANY FASTEST RAPPERS IN SOUTH KOREA*
