How to DIY silicone a shower screen

Best video on this subject for those, like me, who have never done it before.Following this advice, I had great success. Other videos on the subject are too wordy and want to display the profesional's expertise rather than give solid uncomplicated advice.

I never knew you could put silicone in both directions after it had cured. Thanks for that abd the tip with the water spray is genius.

Scott is right, you should not silicone the inside of a shower screen. They are designed so that the water drains out and back into the shower / bath, the last thing you want is water getting trapped behind the shower screen when the silicone eventually starts to fail.

Who made this video? I don't know who but can somebody tell me who this guy is? He never shows who he is? Who came up with this idea? Try Glass Cleaner in a spray can and try a mixture of Dish washing liquid and water in a spray bottle and there is always Denatured Alcohol. Wink, Wink. Now, you have trade secrets from you know who.

so do you prefer to use denatured alcohol or a mixture of dish washing soap + water to smooth out the silicone? I need to remove and reinstall my glass shower partition myself so that shower can be regrouted. My local glass shop quoted me $1,300 USD! Don't move to California.
