If anyone’s interested, Tim had his own moment in the spotlight, he fronted a new wave band with a dream pop vibe called Frazier Chorus. They never had much if any success despite being signed to Virgin Records with some great production, but one of their songs ended up on the soundtrack to the second series of Baywatch back in the day. Recommend the songs “Typical” and “Dream Kitchen”.

It's not exactly clear in the photo and from what I remember, they don't show that symbol often in the show. He may have realized a bit later, but in that instance with a camera on you and you're talking to family, it's understandable that it isn't an instant recognition.
