Bad Endings. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. Just when the hero(es) thought everything was finally right, just when it looked like peace had finally returned to the world, something happens that, at best, creates a bittersweet victory and, at worst, spoils everything and the enemies win, despite everything that happened throughout your adventure. Bad endings don't give you any second chances, you screwed things up for everyone and you must pay dearly...

Late to the party, but a couple of general comments: 1) Yes, Snowflake is counted as a survivor according to game code. It's kind of a twofer -- survivor and gift. 2) TK doesn't actually need any of the stuff he makes Chuck grab in Overtime. It's just meaningless fetch quests to exhaust Chuck. TK's logic is that Chuck is either killed doing chores, or will be too tired to fight TK if he does show up.

Skylar Green Actually, about #2. He actually didn't need them technically, but decided to have Chuck get that stuff so that he could butter up the Phenotrans executives with it (The Expensive Wine, Gift Basket and the Case of Queens respectively), and some items (like the USB Drive, Mobile Headset, Lab Suit and Compromising Photo) were gathered because of his blunders earlier on... they were supposed to be a gift for his hirers and to show that he tried to clean up loose ends.

Actually, Ending S was meant to be the canon ending at first, but when Case West was released, it was changed for Ending A. Although, according to the Wikipedia, it's likely that TK was zombified after the fall, which connects both endings. So Ending S could be also the canon ending after all.

During Ending F, one of the scariest factors about it is that you're literally seeing the pure terror in Rebecca's eyes in 52:24. It's also pretty sad when the real ending comes into play. But that music though too.

You know, this is something minor but early in the game, Katey says “I’m playing MegaMan!” But later in the game, after capturing TK, she says, “I won’t be able to get the save point now...” The original MegaMan didn’t have a save function, and it’s unlikely she’s playing Powered Up (considering what ends up happening to her later), so either she’s lying, or she’s a time traveler. EDIT: Judging by a later cutscene, she's playing MegaMan 7, which never got a re-release outside of collections on consoles and is therefore impossible to play on a handheld. She must be really good at hacking, time-traveling or both at the same time.

3. His attacks have a ridiculous amount of invincibility frames. You'll often think you've got a clean hit on him, only to see you've done no damage at all. Not fun. 4. But worst of all, (and I think it's actually a glitch) he can sometimes hit you with an uppercut and instantly reduce your health to the tiniest amount possible. This is the same game where you get shot by a magnum six shooter or hit by a massive chainsaw and lose just a block or two of health. It makes no sense whatsoever.

I might make a video to go into further detail about it, but the main reasons are: 1. He easily disarms most weapons that you use against him. In my opinion, that's goes completely against the idea of Dead Rising, where you can pick up anything you find and smack others with it. 2. You have to fight him on a small platform, which is very easy to get knocked off from. As you attempt to climb your way back, you're almost certain to get hit some more and lose more health.

The only thing that would've made the endings worse, in all of the Dead Rising games, was if the bad endings were narrated by the newscast. Like, before the credits we see the Channel's intro to the news show, then the text that appears to describe the bad endings is instead told to us by the host.

In ending F chuck sees no point in living any more. He lost the light of his life and sees no reason to continue fighting to stay alive. So what does he do? He lets the zombies end his life.

Take a look at the notebook in overtime mode and you'll see that all the survivors you've rescued have their status as "Safe", including Snowflake, so yes.

Fun fact: because the game was coded to make projectiles other than hit scanners really good at taking down vehicles, you can bring a foam ball gun that fires *non hit scanning* projectiles you can take out the armored truck and TK's chopper like whacking a zombie with a machete.
