CJ good video. I have been watching a few of your videos since I purchased the Ninja XL grill. I am sorry to see that your whole chicken didn't come out as planned. I cooked a whole chicken weighing 3.99 lb successfuly tonight with out any issues. I used the air crisper tray and placed my chicken inside. The air crisper tray sits deep in the the pan. I used the thermometer throughout the entire cooking process. I ordered the roasting insert but I had not received it so I decided to use the crisper tray instead which worked out perfectly. The entire chicken was cooked to perfection. There was no touching of any kind at the top of the bird. I definitely plan on roasting more chicken in the near future. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Good afternoon from the UK I don't know this I would have personally spatchcock the chicken and then lightning seasoned it with rapeseed oil and a little bit of season not too much at the beginning but if you want to over seasoning it then cover in rapeseed oil and then put it in a seal bag with your season of your choice that's the way we do it in them oven.

I think this was an engineering disaster, on this one, it should have been deeper, the shape, is great, but could have made it wider and longer, that's what customer's want, and would have been a great selling point, I'll stick with my Ninja Foodi Pro Grill, and it's still the best thing on the market!

Catherine Dowling everything cooks way faster than you think it will. Do not use propane grill times. Steaks burgers chicken will rarely ever take more than 6-10 minutes. You’ll figure out the times better more you use it.

You should have spatchcocked the chicken so the skin wouldn’t burn.

Cut the chicken at the ribs and then spread it with a schnitzel hammer. Should work fine..

Usually that is how I do it, but people requested to see if it fit whole or not.

Thx for the reply CJ. Also check "chicken tabaka". It is a Georgian recipe. They press the chicken there with a heavy metal..
