Great video, thanks. I'm 62 years old, and I'm a vegetarian since 1977, and 10 years ago I went full vegan. I'm so happy to see that more people make this plant based diet choice. Being vegan is precious. It is glorious. It should be open to everyone to follow. Being vegan is compassionate, it is environmental friendly, and it is wise, it is healthy, it is an intelligent choice. According to research, any intelligent people are vegetarian or vegan.

Wow, your story is similar to mine. When I was 38 years old a friend convinced me to start keto diet and after doing that for one year I began to feel like trash, and I knew something was wrong with my body because I was always tired and it was getting hard to move. I was doing some research online one day and somehow I stumbled upon a video of Dr. klaper talking about atherosclerosis and the WFPB diet. I decided to stop keto right away and give it a try. My energy went up, I lost weight, diabetes began to stabilize and I also felt great. I turn 40 years old next month. Now here I am today, about 6 months into the WFPB lifestyle and I feel so much better. But interestingly I also experieicned heart palpitations a few months ago and I went to the doctor and they referred me to a cardiologist and did all sorts of tests and they said I was very healthy. The doctor approved me to do any sort of physical activity. She said it might have been stress that caused it, because all their tests came up negative. I knew that a WFPB diet was not the cause of it, it was probably all the crap I've eaten for the majority of my life, but I knew I was on a new path now and I had found gold. Even though my family jokes around and they don't get it. And now my friend who convinced me to try keto recently he said he might try what I'm doing. 😁

Wow! In your 80's and plant based?! That's wonderful. My dad is 82 and refuses to listen to anything about it even though he has so many health issues which could be improved greatly. I really admire you and your wife's open mindedness. 😊 I'll keep working on my dad 😆

4 years for us too!!! Best decision we made ever. Never felt better. We were vegetarian for years but then went vegan and then watched Forks over knives. Rest is history. Love your channel

I’ve been vegan for over a year. I admit to an occasional dip into processed vegan food but more and more I am cooking from scratch. I have found that I stay away from junk food if I have food in the frig that I have made ahead.

Ok, so somehow I missed this little talk of yours. YOU look beautiful and your message is right one the money. My salads each day thank you for your yummy dressings. Seriously, makes salad eating so much more fun. And you know what, I just thin them out with a bit of water and voila...a perfectly dressed salad with tons of veggies. This is in my motivation playlist, thanks. I've been WFPB 5 years. It fixed my cholesterol at age 48. If fixed a whole bunch of other issues, including weight which has been normal ever since. Now, I am pushing the limit with high intensity interval training. It is said that recovery for athletes is much quicker on this diet but I never truly took advantage of that and pushed the limit. Now I am. My cardio is improving with high intensity at 5300 feet altitude. I feel alive, like I did as a soccer player in my youth. I need to keep pushing to truly find that youth, at least for a few months. I am looking forward to it. Thanks for the inspiration.

Went vegan 4 years ago after being diagnosed with heart problem. Read Eat to Live and lots more. No more heart 💓 problems. Only way to eat. Thank you 🙏

If you get hungry when you are out you could also just ignore it and wait till later. I've been doing intermittent fasting and it has seriously been the most freeing feeling in the world to learn that I don't NEED to eat every three hours. I was brought up on six meals a day (breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, mid afternoon snack, dinner and evening snack); crazy way to live. Now I just eat one lovely delicious meal a day (no processed food or sugar) and a tiny snack (maybe a few nuts) to break my fast before I go for my long walk. As a bonus it has cured my insulin resistance; it is trimming all the unhealthy fat of my body; it is incredibly time saving not having to prepare food all the time and it is way cheaper. Win, win, win, win!

You look awesome! Thanks for the message you share about eating WFPB and showing just how easy it truly is. I've been vegan for a little over 4 years now, as well as most of my family. Three of my husband's sisters messaged me about one month ago, and they are all starting a plant-based journey. Your channel is one of the first one's I told them about for recipes and recipe ideas. And thanks for talking about making the ethical connection--it is important part of staying plant-based; otherwise, people think of it as just another diet. Everyone is saying 2019 is the year for veganism and plant-based products. I hope that is true, but I like to look at it as the year for the animals--ending their needless suffering. With so many options and thanks to research as well as clinical trials, we know eating plants is healthier for us and the planet. I to started when I was 40 for the same reasons. At 40 your body stops lying to you. I did a 22 day plant based challenge and never stopped. You look awesome and i genuinely appreciate the videos. God bless ✌🏻✌🏽✌🏾✌🏼✌🏿

I found your page beginningof last year and stuck to changing my diet for a few months, but then I fell off. So here I am now, the first day of 2019, went shopping for all healthy food again and back watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your journey. I found your videos about a week ago simply by accident. I love the things on a whole food diet, but I found the information at the library, online and elsewhere so confusing. Your videos and a couple of other sources make perfect sense to me. I am trying to start slowly as I clean out the “bad” stuff from closers and freezers. Throwing a lot and using small amounts of the protein. I love cheese and I love fish, so they have to be gone and I am too frugal to waste. That said in two months, I have made good progress. Now with your videos I know I will make more progress. Again thank you.

Though I've been vegan for four months I'm the only one in my family and it's been hard for me. What you say about having a group being helpful is likely very true, but I'm not sure how to get one, or even a friend. Still, I don't see myself going back, I love the food and how it helps my health, as well as the ethical reasons. Thanks for your videos!

I have struggled over the years to find people too. I just kept going to local Mettups and now I have a few people that really get what we are doing and are supportive =) I understand the difficulty

Gosh..!! I'm so thankful for such a supportive family.. i had a severe meat allergy.. and it wasn't caused by some kinda tick bites. ... i just never did well on a carnivore diet..i had rashes , breathing problem, high cholestrol, obesity..brain fog (didn't even know what brain fog was back then) .. etc..i was just 10.. 15 now...and have been vegan for over 2 years.. My grandma (mum's mum) also a vegan (for the last 15 years ..she's never been a flesh eater though ).. I never ate those processed junkies.. everything was made from scratch. ..takeaways were just not allowed.. My mum's a vegetarian..still cooks food from scratch... I didn't have adequate knowledge back then but as i grew up and researched on how to be healthy on a plant based diet.. I'm a pre med student.. and that really adds up to their concern..as i have to be healthy.. and I've been great.. I had always loved animals.. So I'm happy that I'm indirectly helpin em.. We try not to produce a lot of waste.. and guess what they are pretty supportive. .. They didn't always likw this idea of buying less..or not wasting water (who doesn't love takin long showers ) but as the time rolled by..i convinced em to be more eco friendly..

So happy you posted this video Jill. I've been on the wfpb journey for 11 years after being diagnosed with breast cancer. It has helped me tremendously and every time I go see my oncologist he asks me am I still a vegan. I told him I'm not a vegan I eat wfpb which is somewhat similar. He tells me I'm very healthy and he'll see me in a year. He also told me his mom went vegan! So I appreciate this lifestyle so much and it is my life! Please keep the videos and recipes coming!!!

I went wfpb almost 2 years ago after finding a tumor in my left breast. E/P pos HER2 pos. My blood work is perfect and my Dr said if they didn't know I have breast cancer you couldn't tell it from my blood work. With the aggressive HER2 cancer diagnosis it hasn't managed to spread out of my breast which strangely seems to anger my Dr. My 6cm tumor should have spread and she resfused to leave me at stage 2 because she was sure it had. My PET scan 10 days ago shows no spreading anywhere. I'm healthy and feel better at almost 60 than 40. I just want to be a positive force for anyone going thru similar trials. We're on the right track.

I've been WFPB for about 10 months now, and the most important thing I learned is to eat to live, not live to eat. I will admit that I gave up a lot of tasty foods, however, I quickly realized how little taste pleasure actually does for your overall wellbeing and life quality. Taste pleasure is worth giving up for all the amazing health benefits. There are still a lot of tasty whole foods though. Like fruits, berries, nuts etc. I will be doing this for the rest of my life.

Thank you for sharing your story. I have been WFPB for 3 1/2 years now. Same issues you speak about I had as well, along with high cholesterol, a lot of extra weight and a major health scare. Great work. You look fantastic. Probably added at least 5 years to your lifespan, in your last 4 years of healthy lifestyle work. In other words, you could easily pass for years younger than you were 4 years ago!

I just found you today,I have been mostly vegan,occasionally eat salmon for about 4 years (kind of starting away from that) .You make so much sense and I will be following you from here on. So glad I stumbled upon you.

I love my Polish food, but there isn’t much when it comes to vegan choices. In order to sub ingredients, I feel that the authenticity of flavour and the nostalgic feeling of enjoying familiar dishes would have to be sacrificed. My great grandmother [died at 95 almost 20 years ago] would throw a fit if she didn’t get her smalec (Polish pork/bacon lard spread) with bread!

Thank you for your great inspiration and for mentioning animal rights - every vegan is a bliss for the well being of animals. So it is not just about our health but also about the health of all living beings. I have become raw vegan a couple of months ago and in the middle of a detox - another step on the way. This is all very exciting and joyful.

I want to thank you for making that video about the little flatbread I just tried it and I love it and it really does work I was afraid that it wouldn't work I seen people make videos about other things like banana pancakes and I could never get it to turn out but this turned out exactly how you said it would was so easy to do and they're so tasty I am so surprised how tasty they are I'm not a vegan but I really appreciate this recipe I added a little Cajun seasoning to mine and it tastes like it could be fish batter or some kind of breading substitute if I was ever to want to bread chicken or something but anyway thanks again

Alex Potts I’ve got a kale salad recipe that will change your mind. Massage your kale with salt and walnut oil, then add chopped walnuts and Parmesan (if you do some dairy). It’s so delicious and keeps in the fridge for days. When I go to serve it, I do like to squeeze some fresh lemon on top too.

Thanks for your work on your channel. You have helped me to solve the "what do I eat & how do I cook" dilemma♡ I too recently went vegan vs veg due to body aches (aweful) and esp Animal Rights issues. Body aches 50% less already doing Starch Solution.

Great video. I went vegan whole plants based foods since June 2017 and thrive better and do 95% of the time avoid vegan processed foods, I would like to increase that to 100% because they aren't the best for you.

Yes, and yes, and yes ! It's amazing now, how "they" are finding the science (finally!) on how bad "ultra-processed foods" really are. So many studies are coming around in the last few months about your microbiome ! (Do you have bean recipes??) I like how veganism is really taking off these days! I also admire your guys' little dog walk (3 miles!) and also how science is saying exercise is important, but more really saying how, or that what matters, is that you move, of course intensity is important too, but people need to know that "moving" and staying in motion is in our genes! You do cover all the bases really well here AND, you did so before all the science hit the streets. You are certainly in your zone!

Great video to see how holistic approach has went good for your family after 4 years.. really encouraging 👍👍 What i need really in my journey is to convince my family to do the same as its not easy for me keep going alone with whole food pbd and yet prepare the other stuff for my husband and son!! Its really the trigger for not keeping me on track sometimes.. am a working mom and pbd has a lot of prep time each week, hope 2019 brings them to a new brand start specially my husband have heart issues and diabetic, my son suffering from migraines 🌷🌷
