I made these with a bag of frozen hash brown shredded potatoes, with about 1-1/2 flax egg and a bit more red onion and 2 tbsp bread crumbs.......used 1/2 measuring cup for each pancake and so I baked 15 minutes first side then 10 minutes on the flip. DELICIOUS!I

looks great! i think i will dry toast some mustard and cumin seeds, turmeric along with the onion and garlic and maybe some green peas to mix in them and then bake them, sort of like a samosa stuffing... oh the possibilities! i ferment my own sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, watermelon rind and veggies and i control the salt, i just got finished making four gallons of kimchi and only used maybe a tablespoon of salt for all four gallons, when i make the slurry of asian pear, onion, garlic and ginger, i add vinegar as the lactobacillus and other beneficial microorganisms prefer an acidic environment that discourages the bad microorganisms, for pickles my ''brine'' is less salt and more vinegar, everything comes out wonderful. you can ferment your own cabbage (i like to mix a variety, regular green, savoy, purple, kale, chard, napa, etc.), you control the salt, you can add things like dried tomatoes, carrots, caraway seed, hot pepper, etc. the possible combinations are endless!

These look great but to me are more like potato patties because they are formed. Potato pancakes are usually made from a batter of uncooked grated taters, onions, etc. that's poured. My dad use to make them fried in a ton of butter but these days we use our nonstick griddle!

I made these and don't know what I did wrong. I maybe shouldn't of mashed the potatoes with plant-based milk. I wished you would have said how you mashed your potatoes. Mine was warm so maybe that was wrong too. Very sticky Took an hour and 15 minutes turned the oven up to 400. They didn't get real crispy but whatever I will eat them. HELP
