I don't believe a Yorkshire is considered a "Heritage" breed. I checked The Livestock Conservancy and did a quick Google search and found nothing referencing the Yorkshire as a heritage breed. It IS the most favored breed for large-scale confinement factory operations for LEAN meat. Crossing breeds with Heritage breeds like the Ossobaw, give an excellent hybrid vigor growth to piglets. But if you want to call a pig a heritage breed, both should be from heritage breeds. I believe I would have crossed it with a Large Black for a little longer and muscular animal.

in Europe you can see this process trough windows in some shop's but some kids cannot take it .....I think all kids should see it and understand where from food coming ....

Ewa N I agree- by seeing the animal being fabricated, it brings us closer to and more respectful of the meat and the animal that was raised.

I see lot of kids from UK what cry extensively when you taller them that they just eat a rabbit or this juicy meat what they chew bus whey don't are teach any respect for life and don't are shown any life processes for them .....I remember see pig head as child and cry like crazy bus i just see tiny ones in barn and mother was very upset that I was there so my dad took me out from not causing stirr amongst animals ....my uncle explain me what will happen to them and my grandad show me a place when they sell trzem ..then we was talled that in this big company they are put to sleep bus are old and then are change for food ...bus we don't waist any life given to us . But I still can look on pig face ..work in Chinese shop and explicitly said for owner that I will not touch it but I buying eyes for my dog and bones .....I think that is job for men with them testosteron and mussels ..... God make us all different man have more mussels for reason and woman more fat for reason ....you can eat greens and be healthy but you will not have strong mussels to break this rips with bear hands like you do this .....I LIKE HOW YOU SAID IN THIS VIDEO ... THAT IS BEAUTIFUL THAT EVERY PIECE OF THIS ANIMAL IS SERVE À PURPOSE. I THINK FROM FEET THEY MAKE Maggi for soups inside spine is great for cooking for ppl with immune déficiences pig checks are hight como ditty in China serve a ledge for newlyweds. ... Some say that balls are served for man before wedding day ...uh huh Sometimes better don't know what is being Sean.

How much bacon you have from this one animal??? just curious to know ......hmmm how many animals need be killed for average person eating habits? ? I don't eat beef .....I eat chicken and pork. ..beef sometimes ...Some blood disorders don't aloud eat beef. .... I see dead animals on hooks before ..hmmm but nobody don't talk about them this way .....like delisious bbq ..not ladies like....hmmm this guy could definitely talk about meat all day it's look like .....like my mother about food.

Ewa N- this animal had a yield of approximately 10 pounds of bacon. You are correct, we as people don't commonly consider the amount of meat we consume and it's intimate connection to the animals that are processed to meet these needs. We also don't take in to consideration the amount of time, energy and grain it takes to raise meat animals. It takes 8 pounds of grain to produce 1 pound of beef. Thank you for watching
