Personally I think there is a more correct explanation to the fact no one seems to notice the innacurate vader's torso print it's just that Vader is let's be honest a less hyped fig than fives, it's just facts, pretty much every lego collector by now already has darth vader so if no one is really hyped about this fig people most likely wont talk about the fig and wont notice the details/inaccuracies (even more if it only has ONE innacurate detail) But on the other hand Fives is like the exact opposite to what I just said about darth vader... Most lego SW collectors literally grew up with The Clone Wars, and five is a beloved character of the show and has NEVER been made into lego, so people are hyped about the fig and it means there are a ton of discussions just about this fig therefore inaccuracies are most likely to be found (also there are a ton of things wrong about this fig so it adds up)

The miss on the vader goes completely over the lego star wars community's collective heads because these peeps aren't that big of Star Wars fans. They're definitely clone wars fans but all these other lego star wars channels on KZbin miss this kind of stuff all of the time.

Finally someone has my opinion that Episode 4 Vader is the most iconic. The Cape over the armour and the red eyes is his best look in my opinion. May not be as refined as the later versions, but it never needed to be.

Fives torso is so weird like the arc trooper cover thing looks so small especially compared to the original lego arc trooper and the chest pocket thing doesn't help with it either

Honestly, that Fives figure is starting to grow on me. Sure, there are some definite inaccuracies with the helmet detail being spread out so far and somewhat inaccurate gauntlets, but I honestly think adding a custom kama to him would actually fix the look of him a good bit. Also, contrary to most Lego Star Wars fans, I don't hate the helmet print and I personally think it looks really good except for the Rishi eel print being spaced out just a little too far.

im really surprised you mentioned the vader torso. I havent seen anyone noticing it elsewhere and thought i was the only one to care about such details. Sad to things like that being glossed over by lego. This makes me worry that if we get boba in the rumored sarlac sets they also wont care to do a ep 6 accurate variant :(

I personally don’t think the wrong Vader is that much of a surprise. they do this kinda thing all the time, just look at wong from marvel and while it doesn’t bother me, I can get why it’s annoying.

My only issue with the helmets is why don’t they make an effort to make them like the Lego Star Wars game. They clearly acknowledge that black on the helmet doesn’t look that accurate. And changed it for the game. Why not just make it an actual helmet

I would love to buy 2, but only if I can find them for 35-40 each. That Fives is just pretty sad, glad I have one from CAC with a Lego styled P1.5 helmet which looks really nice. Also, a Darth Vader varient to match the scene (as you mentioned) would be nice. Also, why won't lego fix the Family Guy storm troopers? The rebels design was really good, I wish I had some more of those ones as well as the 2016 battlefront ones.
