Best performance ever. Especially the drummer and razor sharp vocals. Page is bang on point her. Well done.

i think they should release the O2 Arena concert on DVD and on the special features and shit they should put this show and the Atlantic Records reunion on it, that would be badass.

Like the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show (Which did sound better than this) People still need to look at certain moments in music history, in their proper contexts. To most of us in 1985 we didn't give two shits what Zeppelin sounded like at Live Aid when it was happening. It was about the good cause and the reunion of the surviving members. They hadn't been together in 6 years or been seen live on film or tv by the masses since the 76 film The Song Remains the Same. In 1985, 9 and 6 years, musically was a lot longer than it is today. Mtv had been huge for a few years at that point and Zeppelin seemed like they were from WAY back in the day, due to not having old videos to show, or any new ones because they weren't together anymore. There was no KZbin of course that allowed you to keep images fresh in your mind. You had old vinyl album covers to look at and old magazines. Even the Beatles got rotation on Mtv some with old clips from their movies and the Stones were making fresh stuff and having vids from the late 70s and early 80s being shown. It felt like forever since we had even seen Zeppelin Also, In those days Stairway was not as overplayed on radio, but played enough on it and in bedrooms that it was classic. It's clear that Page is doped up here and Plant hasn't practiced his heavy singing in a while and yes Collins didn't really seem to know the songs. But I'm telling you, I watched this live when I was 15 and it was a huge moment and everyone talked about it the next day. No one was ragging on them. Plus in those days, not long after this, people actually thought the Bowie/Jagger video of Dancing in the Streets was cool, lol. Crazy but true.

I don't necessarily disagree with you but he did a better job than I thought he would've when I first searched these videos. Page with the flanger and Plant in general sound worse IMHO

The drums absolutely butchered this song plant and page have to be wondering why they asked anyone to join in on drums. Jason Bonham is the only one who can do it
