Satsumas are beginning to ripen. I wanted to find a good way to make them last. Today, I used my Granny's Pound Cake recipe and added 2 whole satsumas to it. MMMMMM Good! I found a recipe for a whole orange cake and it looked similar to the pound cake but added the orange. I swapped the satsuma for an orange. You will LOVE this recipe.

I Love Ms. Wanda! I am Technically challenged but I have seen so much growth in Ms. Wanda over the years, I remember when she would barely be seen on camera, she’s grown as a speaker and her video skills are wonderful, the music at the beginning of the video was so peaceful and Ms. Wanda gets beautiful outside shots, her strong, yet gentle Christian personality makes her so easy to relate to. I like Mr.Danny too, I’m just grateful we got the opportunity to know Ms. Wanda as well. Thank you for another helpful video Ms. Wanda. You are a steady, calm voice of reason in a world that feels like it’s coming undone and we appreciate you 😊❤

This cake would be wonderful with key limes. Also if you have a cake pan with a loose bottom like yours you can set it on top of a jar and just let the sides fall down.

Thanks Ms Wanda. Coffee pot is a necessity NOT a machine. LOLOL Your orange slice cake recipe is so different from mine. Yours looks closer to what we've always called Japanese Fruit Cake which I absolutely love. It uses golden raisins instead of dates or regular raisins and no orange slices. It does call for oranges or lemons, pecans, and coconut and it's a white cake. I've looked on line and can't find the recipe that I grew up with and can't share it. It's a family recipe lol. Much Love

Hey, I love your pan. Mine is nothing like that. I wish I had homemade vanilla extract. I always put sour cream in my pound cake as well. I’m afraid I wouldn’t trust what they call organic oranges from the store. Thank you for sharing. It looks amazing.

Found this information: Tangerines are a specific type of mandarin orange. They are a bright orange color, slightly tougher skins, and their flavor is a little less sweet and a bit more tart. Clementines are the smallest type of mandarin orange. They are super sweet, seedless, and have red-orange skins that are smooth and shiny. The mandarins you see in grocery stores called Cuties and Sweeties are Clementines. They are easier to peel than tangerines, but not as easy to peel as Satsumas. Satsuma Mandarins are a specific type of mandarin orange, originating in Japan more than 700 years ago. They are a lighter orange, sweet, juicy, and seedless. They are also the easiest variety to peel. The most tender, easily damaged type of mandarin, Satsuma mandarin oranges are harder to find fresh in stores.

Miss Wanda when you put in the glaze on why didn’t you take the juice and the powdered sugar and put it in your ninja juicer like you did for the feeling you wouldn’t have the little white specs everything would’ve been really smooth I’m just saying

Have you tried buying flour from Overseas. My friend went to Germany ate pasta, bread etc came back home made her very ill. Was stationed in Italy again ate all she wanted. She is convinced that it’s the chemicals we spray on grains. She has friends overseas who ship the stuff to her and she makes her own.
