Just to clarify for those who aren’t aware, the MC/IC always carry similar significations to the 10th and 4th house, respectively. The MC in the 10th and IC in the 4th won’t carry any additional significations, which is why those houses weren’t included in this lecture. This lecture was taken from an intermediate level astrology course, where all of the students would already know this information. Sorry for any confusion! ❤️

Thank you so much for this lecture. My soul needed to hear it and I cried tears of joy in having a better understanding of what the MC and IC was, with special interest in the IC. I come from a deeply disturbed family home life that has been continuing for many generations. My birth name is Avril which means new beginnings and I always promised myself that I would not carry the generational curse forward into my own children lives. That it would stop at my parents and never go further than that into my own family and my own generations to come. Understanding that the IC has to do with home, family and ancestry. Ok so this gave me real chills... I have MC in the 11/IC in the 5th and I've recently very happily changed careers to become a teaching assistant in an elementary school. My childhood was extremely playful and creative and one of the things that attracts me to this job is definitely nostalgia (along with the desire to help create a better future for these children). The teacher in my class last year had this exact same placement as I did and the same chart ruler. Astrology is amazingly accurate at times.

So both myself and my husband have MC in 9th and IC in 3rd. We both came from different Asian countries, and decided to settle in North America. I think our environment and childhood educations when we grew up have significant implications to our careers. I teach in Nursing school, but my cultural values influence significantly when interacting with both my patients and with my students. My husband is a lawyer, and most of his clients are from his native country since he can speak the language. It’s funny how accurate it is😊. Thank you for all the videos you put out. This makes a lot of sense. I have never looked at whole sign houses, but my MC is in the in Aquarius with my IC in my 3rd in Leo. My entire childhood, I was the oldest of multiple siblings, and and spent a lot of time "short distance traveling" to see my dad and his family. I spent a ton of time with my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. My neighbor babysat me and I was very close with her kids as well. Reading and writing were my escapes and my education was very important to me. My fiance has his MC in 11th house, Virgo. IC in 5th house, Pisces. He played a ton of sports growing up and had a lot of recreational activities. As an adult, he was involved in humanitarian/ youth leadership groups, a Rugby coach for a college, and is known for those things. He also has inherited my son from a previous relationship and our son together, and is a great example and role model for them. I am still learning what I want to do with my MC 9H in Aqua. I also have a Gemini Rising. I have been looking only at my 10th house and wondered why it didn't quite fit. I need to merge that 9th and 10th house energy. Thank you! 💙

This is the only video that actually helps explain this, for ppl w their Mac in diff house than their 10th. My mc in my ninth, in Aries w mars, and tenth house in Taurus, w ruler in 3rd. And Virgo in 2nd w ruler in 4th. Ive been dealing w health issues (Saturn and Neptune in6th?) and applying for disability, trying to come up with something I can do/work from home, like what you said in your video about the second house/money. I have been looking at my whole sign house chart for the first time. And tbh, I’m not sure it works for me. When I look at the placements that change from the Placidus system, I feel like I WISH this were my chart. Some things would be soo much better if that were true. But, unfortunately, I think Placidus describes me and my life better. What is the reason behind using whole sign house charts?

Yes! My MC is 2 degrees Sag in my 11th. When I worked, I was all about getting together with my co-workers and going to the movies, hanging out for meetings and cleaning the highway with them. Also, growing up, my Uncle and I used to play catch all the time and I love to teach children how to play games like Red light, green light and Mother, may I? My nephew who will be 8 in March, (stellium in Pisces opposite my stellium in Virgo) always wants to play games with me. That REALLY fits me.

I struggled with having my MC in the 10th house but 9th house makes so much more sense. Teaching is my first love, and I’m also a Gemini rising and with Placidus I don’t have any planets/asteroids in the 9th house much I have so much affinity with that house with my drive for career being so tied in with some kind of teaching component. just wondering what your take is on MC on the 1st and IC on the 7th? I was going through extreme latitudes, in whole sign houses, MC could also end up in the 1st house too! whereas in equal house, for the most extreme places the MC is just from 7th to 12th. but whole sign, MC can actually range from 7th to 1st. just curious what you think about it? for those minorities' MC landing in the 1st in these extreme areas?

A really good presentation. If you’re going to use house lords and rulerships it would be better to stick with the seven planets and leave the outer planets for secondary or complementary information. Your examples of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong are better explained by Jupiter and Saturn than by Neptune and Uranus.

Lol, IC in 11th in Sag, Scorpio in 10. Ruler of 11th in 5th, Ruler of 10th in 3rd. The 11th Sag is the overall energy and activity of my career. But when teaching the students were convinced that I was connected (member of the Mafia). I was not an authoritarian teacher, could adapt on a dime to their moods, could be funny, but the students still felt they dare not cross me. They could "talk back" to me. No problem. But when I said On to the work, that was it. I was nev4r a teacher who said I'm in charge. But I was obetyd when I gave orders. Ironically, I was twice offered "big jobs" with the Mafia, :in the legit part, none of that other stuff." No thabk you, that would hsave killed my Sag purpose. Oh, and I dated a sweet Mafia process in high school. I also believe that I can understand the psyches of gangsters and criminal (Pluto conjunct Mercury in 7th). It's a mentality/emotional strructure foreign to Americans. But I studied the classic llanguAges, reading Greek tragedies in the original, and I have always been fascinated by the violent religious histories. Mafia dons seemed to pick upmy understanding of them. Nonetheless, I wnted nothing to do with the Mafia. BTW, an aunt had a fascinating relationship with Mafia dons, She wanted no part of the Mafia either, even when she could have made a lot of money.

Ooh same. South node also talks about talents and comfort zone, it's nothing to really be avoided. This would give us a lot of emphasis on learning, education and communication, as well as spirituality, philosophy, international vs local connections

If your MC is in the 11th, the IC will be in the 5th. There is no other place it can be. Always opposite each other.

My husband has Aries on his MC in the 10th house. That is the Capricorn house and he is a Capricorn. But with him having Aries Midheaven there, in the public eye, he is very impatient and when he works, he works fast to get done. He hates to sit in traffic and wants to hurry up to get where he is going. Mars rules Aries. Now, at home in the 4th house Libra ruled by Venus is there and he is a peace maker, loves the quiet peacefulness of being home. Although he has Pluto in Libra which means his home life growing up was anything but peaceful with a Military (Aries 10th house father) His dad was a Libra but he made life difficult for my husband. My husband would love to own a beautiful home with art (Venus) displayed and just have everything in its place. Use the sign on your MC to interpret it, same as the IC.

But Capricorn/Saturn is the natural ruler of the 10th house which makes one think more about responsibility, control, seriousness, and work. It is the sign/house of the father and discipline. Cancer rules the 4th house of home, and mother, naturally. So, at home, there is the sense of family, tenderness, security, and nurturing.

@@shoelace1918 I think what Heather means is that all MC's are basically 10th house related in their significations so there's no point in talking about the 10th house exclusively because that would be redundant. My MC is 10th house and 10th house ruler is in the 9th house so the 9th house lends itself towards my 10th house visibility. In other words, your 10th house ruler's placement is going to tell you what you need to know.
