I think I would actually use both but I'm leaning more towards the Argan oil one.

Peace to you :) I love your recipes on KZbin! Question...how would you incorporate sea moss into your creamy butter recipe? just add it in the water phase? Thank you so much for all that you do! I'm so excited to start selling my product line soon one of these days and just making my own products for my household! You are a gem! ... I prefer the DIY of course for the natural benefits :D

I would rather keep the ingredients as natural as possible. My hair is free of chemicals except color and I have sensitive skin. So, I try to keep everything as simple and natural as possible. 💜 🤷🏾♀️ 💜 🤷🏾♀️ 💜 🤷🏾♀️

Hi Alise. I am cosmetic technologist working in an Cosmetic Company in R & D ( formulation Development). Butylphenyl methyl propional is not directly added in product. It must be mentioned in label because some fragrance components have this compund so as per rule it must be added in label. This I shared just for your knowledge. But I must appreciate your efforts. Well done lady

Elise! I have a question. I think you say the reason you have to use an emulsifier was as opposed to something like beeswax in lotion is because beeswax wont keep the oil and water together. Would the lotion still work well as a lotion if you just mix it up every time you use it?? Thank you and i love your videos 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💜💜

Hi Elise! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I’d like to try one of your moisturizer recipes and am curious if cetyl alcohol and candelilla wax are interchangeable emulsifiers?
@heidicroucher3 жыл бұрын
Candelilla wax is NOT an emulsifier! Please do NOT use it as such, it WILL end badly. Candelilla wax is similar to Beeswax. Both are used as thickeners to make formulations more solid. The more you use the harder your outcome will be. It absolutely will NOT combine oil and water or do any of the other things that wonderful emulsifiers tend to be known for. There are a TON of emulsifiers on the market to choose from. Beeswax, carnuba wax, and Candelilla wax are NOT among them. Candelilla and Carnuba wax are vegan alternatives to Beeswax. All 3 are most commonly used to thicken lip products, like balms, sticks, and ointments.

Can someone please give me some advice. I want to make my own silicone based hair serum with no added fragrance so I have just Cyclomethicone which is a blend of decamethylcyclopentasiloxane and dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane and organic Argan oil so with just these 2 ingredients can someone give me some advice on the ratio I should use of argan oil & Cyclomethicone so how much of each ingredient would be a good amount to mix together to use as a hair serum so that it does not make my hair greasy.
