I actually met Horace at Twala. He was such a character and deeply loved by all the staff and carers. He made friends with many of the animals especially the dogs. It was really sad when he passed away. But he will always be dearly loved and remembered by all who ever met him. At peace, happy and loved where he is now.

Some infant animals require affection from their rescuers, especially primates and other highly intelligent species. When they're dealing with trauma, knowing their rescuers are friendly will help avoid stressing them out. The monkeys are babies, leaving them alone when they're orphans would be animal neglect. It makes sense she formed a bond with Horace until she was able to introduce another monkey that can replace that attention.

I like how we tamed tigers. And even bears in some cases. I mean if Smilodon wasn't extinct we would probably be helping them give birth in Zoos and Mike Tyson would keep one as a pet. Like these critters are our absolute nemesis. They were our predators.

Billions of people means more energy, food, water and other resources are required, which will make climate change worse. Forests are cut down to clear land for agriculture, livestock grazing, timber, charcoal production, tree plantation establishments and human settlements

Is it me or does anyone else get weird feelings when a private time like giving birth is filmed close up and watched by a room full of fools. I don't care what Animal Zoo you are (Australia zoo) that gives you the right to do this but to blast it on utube for millions to see so you can make money out of a poor animal that can't speak up about your cameras pointed at it's privates is WRONG!!! NOT COOL! Is it not enough to show us cute photos of the cubes later, this is exactly why par died he was too intrusive! Just being honest hey...
