I really love Reverend Putty's development thanks to his daughter. I like to think Putty is one of the more redeemed characters of the show

I remember my stepdad would tell me I was like orel. I was like 6 or 7 and he’d show me the clean parts of the show. This whole comp makes me so nostalgic for a time when he was still in my life. He was a good guy when It came to being a dad.

Yeah I find that part pretty odd. Don't know if the writers were still unsettled in the dynamic between the couple, or if that moment was just another bait and switch.

It was the first episode after all, so the logic answer would be that the writers didn't knew how to manage that relationship. But inside me I like to think that they have their moments sometimes:')
