Smokey has terrific instincts. She’s a wonderful guardian. I had a new bird dog who wanted to chase and eat my chickens. I told her for several days that it was her job to guard the chickens, not chase them. When I started giving her an egg every morning fresh from the coop, she began guarding instead of chasing the hens. I don’t let the hens eat their eggs. If one breaks in the laying box, I remove it to feed the bird dog. That way the chickens don’t learn their eggs are food.

It’s 1 am here and wanted to end my night enjoying some laughs and of course seeing all your animals especially the gorgeous Smokey. You’re just like Dr. Doolittle talking to all your animals and then talk to all of us just like we’re best friends taking a tour. I rarely can catch a live with you and today I was looking forward to catching this video on time and doing a comment so maybe you would read it earlier. One day you’ll be so big in subs and won’t be able to interact with everyone so it’s best to establish a relationship by always commenting and maintaining a friendship. And I’m not too good at that but I sure do love all your videos even if short or long. Everyone loves an answer back and most put a lot of time typing their comment which you always honor us with showing you DID read it. When I was back in your area closing up my moms house and land I’d often tell my hubby how friendly and honest and helpful all the people were especially on the back roads. Almost didn’t leave cus missed all the kindness I encountered when lived there many years ago and almost didn’t leave the area where my family roots are and began in 1825. So thanks for sharing another day in your life and and being like a great friend. Our day began with that dreaded early morning call that our dear longtime friend died of Lou Gehrigs disease and all day we’ve spent the day calling everyone and helping his wife cus she’d hoped he’d last for birth of triplet grand babies soon. So let’s say your video at this moment was definitely needed and of course Case was a bonus. Love the family unit you have going and respect you have for your parents too. And definitely the connection y’all have with your subs and those you do business with. Ya just make the day so much better and now for me the ending to a sad day better to deal with enjoying some time listening to your stories which now will help me sleep. Looking forward to next time and the promise little farm boss Adler will show up on the video or when it’s warmer another time. Don’t want to get him sick if weather bad. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
