Baldurs gate is the best multiplayer experience I’ve ever played. I’ve never played Dungeons and Dragons but I imagine this is the CLOSEST experience you can get to that in a video game. You have so much freedom and your decisions absolutely change the world. I highly recommend this game and you absolutely gotta get a dope crew for your play through.

BG3 is awesome. I have over 700 hours in the game and it's honestly difficult to play anything else even after you beat it multiple times. Just be aware that it is turn based combat and take some time before you start to understand the basics. IGN and Gamespot has some beginner videos I think.

@@Z48654 Yeah, the cyberpunk subgenre is so awesome. I used to only like fantasy genre, but when I played cyberpunk 2077, i got so into the genre that I started going deep into its rabbit hole. I think Lupa felt so burned about the broken release, that he only has a bad memory of the game, but I think if he tries it now, he'll get invested in it, especially as the game hits you emotionally and actually has a deep message on human connections, existentialism, etc.

@@Z48654 Yeah I get that point too, but it was the execs who made the decision to release the game on old gen when it' wasn't ready. The devs themselves worked tirelessly to not just fix the game, but also to add a ton of content and improve upon existing features. I think it's a shame if people will just go into this mindset of "no forgiveness" even though the game is in a totally different state now. Though I understand why people would make the decision. Still, hope that one day he'd try the game, even without letting us know. I'm pretty sure he would like it, especially the story/narrative, and the connections formed with the characters.

​@Lupasan Mate, I've been saying the same shit for years... I haven't enjoyed a Bethesda game going back to like Oblivion... every game there on is basically Oblivion with different models. Ubisoft are exactly the same as well... once you play a single ubisoft game from last 20 years, you've played every ubisoft game they have to offer. I'm just as critical when it comes to Square Enix as well, but for different reasons... that being they don't know how to push themselves into the last 2 generations. Take Final Fantasy XVI, it has its moments, but it's no more innovative than what FFX was back in 2001 for the PS2, which changed the whole dynamic of the franchise... FFXVI is a slightly better FFXV with decent moments, but just as forgettable. When Baldurs Gate 3 was released game devs were saying it's not fair that it has put unrealistic expectations in the game industry with how good it is.... Well, what can they say about Alan Wake 2 and how it respectfully stood shoulder to shoulder with Baldurs Gate 3 on a creative and playing scale. Damn, even got me on a rant now 😂

Larian Studio went from weekly contracts and almost going to ruin and close the studio, back to making Divinity 2 which was an insaaane c-RPG but still very niche, to reaching the pinacle with BG3. Funny story : Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, was always a big fan of DnD. He contacted the legal owner of the Baldur's Gate licence to know if they could adapt a third episode. They answered like "ahahah sorry but, we don't even know who you are, and we aint letting our licence in novice's hands". Then Larian produce Divinity 2, with the world (stil a bit niche) success it got. Then they went back to ask for Baldurs Gate new adaptation => "Yeah ok, you can go for it." And this year, it became GOTY. Thats what happens when passion leads your video game studio. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

CDPR acknowledged the problem, even gave full refunds and worked to complete the game instead of moving on to the next product and its one of the best story games I have played. It does though, as Anthony Mackie said as he was presenting the award, it's about new content that expanded the game's world, and of course, all nominees have strong cases for themselves, but Cyberpunk being there definitely makes sense because update 2.0, 2.1 and Phantom Liberty added so much content in the game.
