that’s honestly where i came from bc i wanted to listen to the song without watching the horrible story that it tells us about. the song itself is amazing but the video that the song was attached to scared the hell out of me. i’ve always been afraid of contracts bc of the hidden meanings and bindings behind them and therefore have never signed one in my life. i just don’t trust them. my parents have always taught me to read something thoroughly before signing it. now, even when there’s a receipt at a restaurant that i need to sign, i read it.

I love stories, so while the beat of a song needs to sound good for me to listen to it, I'm mostly fascinated with the lyrics. But a lot of songs with interesting lyrics sort of speak too much so it barely sounds like a song anymore. But this is just perfect!
