Shooting with the Canon M50 Mark ii Mirrorless camera paired with the EF 50mm f1.8 Lens using the EF -EOSM Commlite mount adapter . Barcelona street photography taking portraits of strangers.
I know this is a camera that's popular on this channel so I wanted to shoot another POV video while I had the chance showing what the 50mm f1.8 could do with this camera.

This is exact camera and lens i bought. Very useful because I am beginner and was scared i bought wrong. It seems I can learn from this and keep my setup. Also last girl knew how to pose well

Very well done. I’ve had my m50 Mark II since January, but didn’t get much good use of it. I probably should have invested more into lenses because it really is a nice camera considering its capabilities. Honestly I didn’t really know what I was doing when I bought it, but I may pull it back out again and shoot. Good job

Yes! Like most cameras when you get to know the settings you can get great shots.The lenses for the EF-M cameras also have super nice quality

Been thinking about grabbing that adapter for the M50. I ended up grabbing the Speedboaster instead to avoid the crop factor but I think I will have to try the adapter to compare them. Considering the adapter doesn't have the extra glass as well as it looks more similar to 85mm since the crop.

I want to test the speed booster too! Yeah this set up is more like an 85mm 🔥 I also want to try the 32mm EF-M lens for this camera as the EF-M lenses are super sharp

@@whosyourbrad Speedbooster is cool because it gives you an extra stop of light so on 1.8 lens I can get 1.2 & 2.8 on f4 lens so that's sick. But dont even get me started on lens lol. I've been looking at that lil 22mm for the EF-M mount for so long. Even the Sigma 16mm. Now the 32mm is entering the chat 🤣

Hey I used to have the M50 with the speed booster and the adapter, I definitely recommend having both as it kind of makes 2 lenses out of one and that extra stop of light is fantastic when shooting night photography!

@@tairaehersemann549 I'm at the same crossroad when it comes to a low to midrange prime. Should I get the 16, 28, 32, 50mm ef-m, or the 35, 50mm R series lens with a speed booster or adapter? One thing is for sure, having at least 1 good prime is a must, and a right if passage. I've only had my m50 for a few days and quickly outgrew the kit lens. Combine this with the 55-200mm and I think I'll be set.

Great job! I'm looking into getting this camera but i've always had a point and shoot, but want to take better photos( of course i'll learn how to use it properly too). What lens would you recommend that isn't huge( so it's fits in "most" bags easily" that takes good pics of people. I want a lens mostly for travel to take sharp pics of the family and for everyday fam photos too. It's so hard to pick. But, i don't plan on buying multiple lenses and just want a good basic lens size.

Hey!! A sharp nice lens for this camera would be the EF-M 32mm f1.4. With this you can shoot great portraits and also great quality. Even the kit lens that comes with this camera is amazing for how sharp it is.

The M50 MKII has some serious issues with sharpness, I own one, and after seeing your video, I now can confirm that. It is not just my camera.

The speed booster softens the images significantly, so I stopped using it except for a last resort (eg. there's not enough light to work with). Also, I set my ISO to 100-200 and use a higher shutter speed with an off-camera flash for key or fill light. Together with eye tracking, this seems to get me much sharper images than before for portrait photography.
