If you ever get the chance to get your hands on a vintage Husqvarna rifle, DON'T MISS IT!!! You won't believe the action on it (Swedish Mauser... like glass!). I've seen them range in price, but certainly well worth the money for the quality, made in a time when people actually cared.

Ammo shop. He showed us a few times. They usually have some ammo for a decent price. Not all jacked up crazy.

Ammoshoponline usually has lots of Norma ammo. On top of that, they’ve got some of the best prices you’ll find. Ships from East Georgia to Tennessee and Texas (where my dad lives) usually in five to six days from your order. If you’re looking for .308, .223, and 9mm, they’ve been my go to place during the ammo shortage. I’m pretty stocked up on .30-06, so I haven’t gotten any of that from them, but it’s good to know you can get it there.

Well now that was a interesting video and excellent grouping. I really like the 30 ought 6 that caliber has always been part of my dear hunting arsenal. You just cannot go wrong with a 30-06 and that Norma whitetail ammo is some excellent stuff and I am going to have to check out and see how it zeros out for me.

Hard to beat a good 30-06 But I'm more of a 180 grain fan. I find it smacks better with less over penetration for white tail in southern woods.

I’ve checked the bullet seating depth consistency of the Norma Whitetail Ammo and they are very consistent. Great ammo and you can reload the quality Norma Brass with some Barnes Bullets ;)

Norma is excellent ammo. Definitely save the brass. Norma brass is one of the best brands of brass you can use for hand loading.

@James samman maybe in your area. The shops say .308 has been the best seller this past year. Same 6.5 has been on shelf forever. 7 mag is pretty popular. I guess people in my area are old fashioned, and just stick with the tried and true.

Great video! What most people don’t know is actually Norma is the cream of the crop when it comes to ammunition, and ammunition components (powder, brass, etc). Their new Bondstrike shows huge promise from what I’ve seen. It’s just not non-toxic, and that might not work for some areas.

My Ruger 6.5 American mag release lever broke. Ruger sent a replacement, but it's the combo mag for 308/6.5. They don't sell a standard replacement for the 6.5. Disappointing !

I love my Savage Axis 2 in 30-06 it’s my favorite rifle I hunt with. I sold my Remington 700BDL in 30-06 and bought the Savage Axis and built it the way I wanted it. I will buy another Remington 700BDL but in 270 but not a new one with a magazine I want an older used one with the drop plate.

My LR-308 LOVES Norma Whitetail more than any other ammo so far, at least as far as my limited shooting ability has shown. Dont have access to a lead sled, but have shot better with the Norma than the Sierra Match Kings or Juggernauts that are supposed to be kings of the class. We'll see how the new bolty (Browning X Bolt Speed suppressor ready) likes all the ammo varieties I've been collecting.

Seeing you love 3006 like😢 I do, do a test that show how fast it can be,load 100 or 110 grain bullets using hodgdon varget, your talking 3000 fps plus test with Chrono and clay block that would be awesome,it's something I never seen a KZbiner ever do, trust me I load light bullet in my 06 For groundhog and it makes mincemeat out of them no coming back😅 would love to see how fast and deviating they would be

Any $400 rifle can produce a 1" group at 100 yards these days. And in any case, an effective hunting round only has to produce 3" groups at 300 yards to be effective. A 180 grain 30-06 soft point will stop just about anything in North America.

Norma would have used a 24" barrel to get velocity figures..... your Ruger is a bit shorter The rifle is shooting about 1/2MoA... Norma ammo is quality stuff.... not cheap, but you get what you pay for

I also have a 30-06 Ruger American left handed bolt action with a Vortex Crossfire II 3x9x40 scope. I am very pleased with the set up. It will kill deer with a high front shoulder shot in a heart beat.

I don't understand why anyone wants 150 grain bullets in their 30-06. To get the most from the 06 it needs heavier bullets. At least 165 which is amazing out of my 06.

Hey Adam! Do you have access to an M-1 Garand??? That ammo would be perfect for use in that! Unfortunately mine has already been shipped to Alaska or I'd let you borrow it. Here's an idea for another video if you can get your hands on the rifles: Compare an M-1 Garand to a Springfield M-1A (30-06 vs 308)... do a 100 yard group test with the military iron sights, not scopes. That would be really cool!

Maybe it’s just me but when you make that final adjustment on the scope another round should be fired to verify. I have seen you make the final adjustment and go right to your group shots. It also seems like the first round of the group shots are not where you would expect. In this video your last adjustment was one click when your last shot was about a half inch high. Normally one click would give you 1/4 inch movement. Your first shot on the group looked like a half inch low. Noting the change your one click went at least an inch of change. That is a huge change. You did get good groups but both were about the half inch low. I always verify any adjustments with a final shot. Just my fifty cents! I know it should be two cents but I got a little long.
