I have had 5 neck surgeries, and have a very difficult time shooting large calibers. I bought this very same rifle last year and it is super comfortable to shoot. I also shot 2 deer with it last year, and both of them dropped in their tracks. I couldn’t be happier! Happy hunting everyone.🙂

I have a Thompson center compass in 6.5 cm and it’s deadly accurate with Hornady white tail . 100 yrds 3/4 in Group . It’s dropped every thing I’ve shot so far .

I’ve shot 2 deer and 1 pig with this exact same setup but no bang flops. Doe I shot at around 100 yards ran a way. Under 100 yards but first half of the trail no blood and then drip every few feet and then poured out. Good shot placement but doesn’t drop them like my 270.

I did this same test with my Tikka T3x topped with a Vortex Viper PST scope. My results mirror yours and don’t open up much at 200 yards. I have shot a number of one-hole 3- shot groups with it. My Tikka 6.5 CM really likes the Norma Whitetail. It will be in the deer camp with me this fall. I enjoyed the video. Keep up the great work.

Over the past year, I’ve been shooting a lot of the more budget friendly training ammo like Norma, PMC, Igman, and Geco. Norma has been my favorite across multiple calibers by far, both in rifle and pistol. WTW has referenced ammoshoponline in a few of his videos, and that’s who I usually get it through. They’re based out of Georgia and get my orders to me on average in six days or so (give or take a day or two). But after watching these WTW videos, I feel pretty good about their hunting ammo too.

I really like it. I was looking for a .243 and stumbled into 6.5. They are pretty cliseenergy wise. The .243 is a bit faster, but it bleeds energy faster. 6.5 is fine for what I hunt. Very pleasant to shoot.

Just watched a video of a gentleman who seemed to trash this rifle and I was surprised his groups were pretty rough and he is the first video I've seen who didn't find this a great budget rifle. I have this same exact rifle but I have an Athlon Argos on top really nice illuminated clear scope for the money. Still haven't sighted it in yet hopefully this coming week I can get out and do so

6.5 is my favorite all around hunting caliber. Don't have a 6.5 Creedmore, but do have a half dozen 6.5 Swedish Mausers & a custom 6.5 wildcat - 6.5-06 Ackley Improved. Accurate shooters all. Nice video.

I have a savage axis 6.5 creedmoor put a boyds stock on it a mcarbo trigger kit and a vortex 4-12×44 scope on and shoot hornady match eld 140 grain factory ammo. And I get 4 round groups all touching all inside the penny i trace at 100 yrds. Very impressed. My 12 yr old son gonna take his first deer this fall with it. Im looking at getting a 22-250 in ruger american. After seeing your videos I been looking at ruger american. Good looking rifles.

I got my creedmoor because when I went to pick up a 7mm08 I could not find any 7mm08 ammo in 2020 but my stores had a ton of 6.5 creedmore. I like it never had any issues taking deer with it. First year I used norma 140 gr whitetail ammo, dropped it dead in its tracks, next year I used nosler accubond 140gr handloads same thing dropped it on the spot. I've heard a few hunters I know complain about expansion and fragmenting issues with 130gr bullets but I've never tested any to know for sure

It took me a while to finally try the 6.5cr. I thought the trusty .308 didn't need to be challenged. The only regret I have was that I waited too long to buy one. It is a fantastic, flat shooting, accurate round. I use it for long range shooting but may give it a shot if I get drawn this upcoming hunt. May have to get a lighter 6.5cr rifle, mine is made for long range and is very heavy. Nice shooting brother. Stay safe.

I used 90 gr Nosler balistic tops for deer on my 1915 Swede 6.5 x 55 at accuracy load. I was getting a 3 inch exit hole .

I can remember testing testing testing with different handloads to get to 1 minute of angle groups. Now you can't sell a rifle unless it can get an inch group with factory ammo

I know most people when they review the 6.5 Creedmoor they always use bolt action rifles or ar type rifles I would love to see the 6.5 or even the 308 Winchester reviewed in a Browning BAR 3 including chronograph testing to see if the gas operated system would make a big difference in accuracy and speed compared to a bolt gun

2 years ago broke down and bought a savage model 11 light weight hunter 6.5 Creedmoor with a 3x9x50 Leupold freedom fire dot scope. I've found that at 100 yards I can group these norma American whitetail 140s touching the same hole 3 round groups. I've killed several deer in 2 years with them they stay together well for a soft point will enter and exit with great blood trail. All deer dropped in there tracks except one 8 point ran 50 yards but blood trail straight to him double lunged. For 20 dollars a box I'll stay with the normas for they perform well even better than the higher dollar hunting rounds in my opinion. Couldn't believe it but the 6.5 is my go to compact deer rifle from now on without taking abuse from high recoil long bulky rifles here in the WNC mountains.

I always enjoy seeing a budget rifle and ammo perform as well or better than other offerings that cost a lot more. For what it's worth, I've found Winchester 125-grain, 6.5 CM Deer Season XP is equally accurate at about the same price point.

I agree with you regarding adjustments after a single shot for experienced shooters, especially when shooting from the lead sled. Shooting a group of three is just a waste of ammo in my opinion. Granted, with less experience and a shooting rest of some sort, groups become more important, but the chances of you chasing zero from the sled are pretty dang low. As for the 6.5 CM, well… I’ve been a .30-06 hunter for over 20 years now and it took my hard-headed self years to embrace the .308. With the rise of 6.5’s popularity, I’ve been skeptical, but I’m warming to it begrudgingly 😂

Finally! Someone who agrees 😁. Most people say you need to waste an entire box of ammo. In reality you should be able to sight on in with just 2 or 3 shots

@@WHOTEEWHO a lot of guys will use the cold bore argument, but generally, higher quality rifles won’t walk from the cold bore shot that much, if at all. Even many low end modern rifles don’t have a significant walk from the cold bore and can be mitigated using degreaser on a clean barrel or allowing the fouling to sit from a previous shooting. Personally, I wouldn’t let the fouling sit if it’s going to be more than a couple of days, but regardless, I’ve seen guys who will shoot three round groups, make an adjustment, shoot another three round group, and repeat. Maybe they just got a lot more money than me 😂

I like the 6.5 creedmoor for all the reasons you stated. I have the Ruger American Predator as well. It is a budget friendly rifle. Only problem with it is my bolt is pretty stiff when it comes to chambering a new round. Being a light rifle, it throws it way off target. I wonder if you experience the same problem.
