That’s my next build. I have an old 20” carry handle. Going to build a 22” barrel .224 Valkyrie, probably get a new BCG with the 6.8 SPC bolt. Looking forward to putting some rounds down range with it when I’m done.

good useful video, I suggest use home made ammo at that range with that set up manufacturing tolerances + manufacturers optimistic velocities account for a large percentage of the misses ...

I added the exact same rifle and scope to my collection. Just recently got it dialed in at 200 yards, been wanting to stretch it out and see just how many yards I can stretch it out to. Thinking about buying a MSR 10, don't know if you have a video on one yet but would be one I'd definitely like to see.

I got a 22" wilson combat Valkyrie build, got it tuned at ridiculous accuracy at 800 yards. Had to creep it out after getting it zeroed perfectly at 300 yards on paper.

That was a interesting video and I don't know about that 224 Valkyrie I think for my money I would just as soon stick with my 223 and I would like to see you try your 223 out on some of those AR 500 targets especially I'd like to see if you could stretch a 223 to hit at 1,000 yd.

For what it's worth, the Valkyrie when set up correctly, will get to 1000 in about 30 MOA, while the 223 Rem will be above 40 MOA of elevation adjustment with a good set-up, and the longer higher BC bullets the Valkyrie can shoot, have a better resistance to wind drift.

For better accuracy at long range, never use ballistic tips, always use the hollow points that have the very small hole. The ballistic tips can deform at high velocities

Use a corrona graph and app and know what to dial after good zero at 100 yards. I shot 4 rounds to zero at 100 yards and put info in app and hit 8 out of 8 on 8 inch target at 1200 yards.

I have a palmetto armory 224 Valkyrie. I can't get it to hit shit! I purchased when it first came out in 2017. Thing embarrassed me at the range. I have not shot it since.

Tried lapping the barrel? I saw a guy doing it on a different KZbin video, to squeeze more accuracy out of his msr. Or you could go for the 1:6.5 twist barrel swap... I heard of a lot of guys just going for that barrel swap & groups tighten right on up. Hate that your 224v journey didn't work out for you. I haven't come to a determination on mines, yet.

@@jr1001jr I think that was the issue when they first came out was different manufacturer were tweaking the specs from federal 1:7 twist with the specifications from federal it's a good shooter bear creek armory has a good barrel out for the 224 20 inch barrel is also recommend for maximum powdered burn and best results great round tho
