The ease of moving that seat... it’s like when you found out the correct way to get ketchup out of a glass bottle. Good tips! 😂

I love this one. I have to admit you have gotten to me with the paddle tricks. I was out floating my local run, and trying them out. It was actually a lot of fun. Then my daughter taught me some "flag spinning" tricks. Just enough to make every flat section a blast.
@WadeHarrison4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it does spice things up I haven’t lost a paddle yet but with enough time I’m sure I will miss time something and the paddle will float away. Make sure you have a decent hand till if your going to be throwing and letting go a lot

Nice run. May I ask you something. I was planning to buy a Rewind but ... . I'm u huge Dagger fanatic, but the thing is all the Daggers I bought, I bought them in green (Ultrafuge, Kingpin, CFS, Mamba, Phantom). But I can't find a Rewind in green. I sent a mail to dagger where they explained they don't make the Rewind in Green and also won't next year. But I see the Rewind appear in green in several KZbin movies. Now as well in yours. Where did you get yourself a green Rewind ? Tnx for your response.
@WadeHarrison4 жыл бұрын
Good question buddy. Well that is correct to my knowledge Dagger decided to drop my favorite color “Lime” on the Rewinds and other models? I was totally against that personally. The Lime color has been in Daggers line up for years. But I get the move to reduce sku’s so the decision was made last year. And it is just a color after all not a deal breaker for me...And to answer the other part your question. The boat I’m paddling is a prototype it’s 99.9% like the current version and I’m pretty sure all the prototype rewinds were ran out of Lime so if you see a video or a Social media post and a rewind is in lime it’s probably a late version prototype not a production model. #bringbacklime

I got a bit of a question. I got a 1:3 and a rockstar, but I want to start kayak racing and running harder ww. I can't Imagine not having a sporty stern behind me though. I'm leaning twards a ripper because of this, but I'm not really sure. Or should i go with a 9 foot creeker? Thanks mate!
@WadeHarrison4 жыл бұрын
The ripper is very fast for sure the fastest half slice out there with a close second is the party braaap. I would suggest trying the Alpha 75 I was impressed how I could drop that stern off drops and use it like a sport stern. But if your looking a a 9’ boat for racing and speed there’s a lot a factors on choosing one with the current line up I have paddle. If I have to choose one it’s a toss up between the 9R2 and the Phantom Alpha would be a very close 2nd

@@WadeHarrison I haven't tried running my seat all the way back, but do you find it that much better to play in with the seat all the way back? Does it affect surfing being that far back? obviously this should be an excuse for me to just go run my local run twice with it in both positions :) Just curious your thoughts on seat position. Thanks, enjoy your videos!

Nice run! I’ve been trying to get my first kayak, the dagger katana 10.4ft but there all sold out, as are most kayaks. I’m having such a ridiculously hard time finding just about anything. I’ve done a lot of research as well as what to get. I’m 6’2 230lb for reference.
@WadeHarrison4 жыл бұрын
The Katanas are great kayaks if your looking at cross over style boat and can’t find any katanas pit there give liquid logic a try I’m pretty sure they have Remix 10s In you can just call them and drive to the factory and pick it up if your close to North Carolina area. That boat is very similar to the Katana and couple another’s to check out is the Jackson Traverse and Pyranha Kayak Fusion I have a lot of experience with the katana and some in the remix xp and Jk traverse but haven’t paddled the fusion but the cross over market is very solid I think you can’t go wrong with any of these personally
@aws15u24 жыл бұрын
Wade Harrison thanks for the reply man. I Took some time to look those up. Definitely like the remix 10 as well. I guess it’s just up to what I’ll be able to find. I’m actually in the Richmond VA area, if your familiar with the waters up here. Appomattox river company in farmville, (about an hour west of Richmond) is pretty much the main kayak dealer around here that I know of. I just won’t have a chance to go check out what they have until the weekend after. Online sucks with the supply since everything is sold out, but Appomattox has inventory not listed online.

@@aws15u2 sup man I'm in VA too looking between the Jackson Antix 2.0 and Dagger Remix. I was like you looking between the Katana/Traverse everywhere, then I jumped to looking for a pure WW boat like the Jackson Zen 3.0, but now I'm looking for something that will take me through all skill levels, coming into the sport as a complete beginner. You ever find a kayak for yourself?
@aws15u23 жыл бұрын
@@brdagr hey man! I did, I ended up going with the katana. I love the yak but I’d like to get a WW specific eventually like some sort of pyranha or liquid logic. I’ve done some mild playing around in WW and have done flat water paddling and it does just fine. The skeg is nice on it cause I find myself spinning out constantly without it and I can’t figure out how to compensate for it (might just be me and how I paddle. I think I paddle just fine but Idk). I pretty much need it to track straight anywhere. But yeah it’s a decent yak overall. I’d love a WW specific and sometimes wish I got that instead but oh well. I can’t do the WW I wanna do due to my low skill level and lack of proper gear anyway.

Have you paddled the new antix yet? Curious your thoughts on that vs the rewind. I am trying to deceide between the two
@WadeHarrison4 жыл бұрын
Not yet I am really trying to get my hands on a demo but don’t know anyone with one right now. I don’t work for a retailer so don’t have access to tons of demos I just either purchase or rely on friends to loan me the boats I demo. I did run into the Jackson guys on the ocoee few weeks back but they had all the demos promised out but I did check one out in person. And am very interested in the improvements over the older Antix which I did paddle for a year and really liked. If I can get my hands on one I will get a video up on that one quick because yeah I would say it and the rewind are the 2 most well rounded boats out today.
@DownstreamV4 жыл бұрын
@@WadeHarrison Thanks for the reply. Really enjoy watching your videos and reviews. I paddled one on the NRG this past weekend, but I have only paddled the rewind on the nantahala so not a great comparison (both smalls as I am only 125lbs). I thought the rewind was faster (rightly so for the length and less width). I thought the rewind surfed better. The Antix was hard to disengage the edge and switching edge to edge and also wanted to pearl more then the rewind. The antix felt better going downriver. Felt like I could run big class 5 no problems. I thought the rewind's large amount of rocker shifted it side to side too much. I could not get the rewind vertical, but could the antix, but it still wasn't easy. So its a toss up for me, but always curious of other's opinions. I want to paddle them both more on some creeks and bigger water.
@calebeyl51274 жыл бұрын
Matt Wallin I’ve paddled it on the ocoee. Rewind is more creeky, but antix is a lot more playful. You could still take the antix on a lot of creeks, rewind just has a more creeky bow. If you’re looking for a half slice to take on rivers like ocoee and tellico, antix would be great. If you’re looking for a half slice to take on a river like the west fork tuck, rewind is the way to go
