As a novice, this boat with its awesome stability and handling finesse has given me confidence to keep trying new things. Plus I love the way it moves when I edge hard in a turn. Another great review.

Thanks for the review! I’ve had my Indra M/L for around 5 months now and I love it so much! I’m 5’ 11” and 185#. I don’t have a ton of boats, but I find I can have so much fun in it. I previously paddled the medium rewind, and the Indra paddles like a slightly more stable, take care of you rewind, even though it’s basically a full size creek boat. Between this and my dagger full slice, I feel comfortable and can have fun on any run in my ability level. Definitely will be keeping this boat for a long time.

It is crazy to see how well its designed. It resurfaces so fast and hard, even on smaller drops.

Great review. I haven’t gotten to demo one yet, but I’m starting to think there may be better choices out there for an east coast eddy-hopping weapon. Maybe the Reactr med, which also may fit me better at 175#.

Any plans for a S/M review?
@WadeHarrison

I might do something later I personally do not have a S/m but have paddled it a few times and at 185lb feel like I’m on that in between sizes so would be fine either one

Hey Wade I love the videos! I’m a Chattanooga local looking to get serious about white water. The only problem is I’m struggling to find consistent partners to paddle with. I’ve tried Facebook meet up groups with little to no luck. Any advice?

Your in a great spot I lived in Knox for years and use to go chat a lot and as far as finding people to paddle with yeah facebook is hit or miss but my suggestion is just keep improving your skills and get a solid at everything and trust me people will be looking for you to paddle with. Go to things like the daddy’s creek race and meet a lot there and when the ocoee starts just go and link up with crews there or if nothing else just go hang out at hell hole and play and will eventually have to many people to paddle with and you will become the opposite 😂 that’s my advice

Hiya, how would you compare this to a puffy goat? I’m a smaller paddler so would be looking at a s/m
@WadeHarrison
@WadeHarrison 13 күн бұрын
This is close to the puff steeze but better in my opinion and it definitely better than the goat I was not a fan of that boat I feel Waka missed the market with that design the s/m is still a big boat definitely give one a try if you get a chance

Great review as always. This sounds like it's more for advance padlers then Reactr and Reactr will be more intuitive to padle and forgiving to padler is that correct? You compare Indra to the Code but how is Reactr vs Code (vs Scorch)? I'm thinking of selling my Code and get a Reactr instead. I like code in rough water but I padel mostly grade 3+ and i find Code needs alot of input and paddled hard to get it where I want it. I'd like something a little more sporty. Also I'm heavy and Reactr L being that wide will make ir ride higher which i think will be advantage for me.

If can keep the code I would that’s a low volume mank machine and get a Reactr as a second boat for everything but very low volume Rivers

Have this and the Reactr basically replace the Scorch for you or do you feel like there is still a place for the Scorch in your quiver of boats?

Yes the ReactR and indra combo is the way to go Different but both good at certain things

I’ve decided this is my creek boat unless I need overnight space. Once you learn where the stern grabs you can use it. I actually moved my seat back. Lastly I put my girlfriend in one to learn. It gives the edge feedback of learning in a rewind, with the stability of a creek boat. She can feel edges grab as feedback without flipping over constantly.

I can totally see that being a compliment to the rewind

@ you know I love me a rewind! But I’ve also only paddled one once since the first Indra proto came out early last year. Indras nimble like the rewind but if I’m slicing I’m in a nova. I’m sure I’ll be back to the rewind once the excitement calms.

I'm with you, since I am usually 165-170lbs, I scooped a S/M to be a creek boat for everything but self supports. It's been fantastic. I still pull out the Rewind a fair bit but I also don't full slice in the cold ass PNW. Running the tough stuff in the Indra is just so much more fun than a full on creeker and stable than the Rewind. That little reverse rocker in the tail is so fun to play with coming out of meaty features and skips!

@ I got to paddle the large proto down the little white last spring and knew it was right at home. Good to hear you’re enjoying it. I’m in the small/medium too normally.
