Where did you get max compressive strength in bending as 0.0035 is equal to 85% of cylinder compressive strength?

I did not get this anywhere. Listening for the first time that compressive strength of top most fibre in beam is 85% of cylinder strength. Can you please answer this?

May not correct the way you explained, how we achieved 0.67fck in structure. Let me explain in little details..... Your targeted strength is Fck & it is a cube strength of 150 mm after 28 days curing. Now your structure is not made of cubes. It has many shapes like flat rectangle, cylinder, circular and of many shapes & we know that the cube shape is the highest taker of loads amongst all shapes. So for this some percentage of strength is lost. 2ndly, structure size is quite larger than your cube size and we know that larger the size lower the strength. So some percentage of strength is lost due to the larger size of the structure. 3rd, compaction and curing of structure is always lesser that that of cube. So some portion of strength is lost. Now in total 33% strength is lost when we compare a structure and a cube. That is why targeted strength of structure is 0.67fck and it is strength of cylinder. Now to convert this cylinder strength to equivalent cube strength, 0.67 is multiplied by 1.25 which is 0.85*fck.
