Mumbai is Undergoing a Mega Transformation that will have a huge impact on people not just living in Mumbai but the entire MMR region and on how they make their home purchasing decisions as it will lead to an exponential increase in real estate projects. Today, the Metro Lines 2A and 7 were inaugurated by our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The metro network in true sense will connect the city’s different areas across its length and breadth. Apart from easing load on the existing rail network it will majorly decongest the city roads, reducing the traffic woes significantly. Real estate development along the metro lines will see a huge increase with Grade A developers capitalising on the increased connectivity. One area in particular which will benefit greatly from this metro connectivity coupled with other infra upgrades is the Kalyan-Dombivli belt, which has a huge growth potential. Many Grade A developers like Lodha are have invested in creating good quality homes with world-class infrastructure and amenities in this area. Considering the affordability, it makes for an attractive location to buy a home which will have good growth potential.

Being Mumbaikar it's so frustrating travelling in overcrowding local trains. Mumbai being metro city & financial capital of India, these metro lines should have laid several years ago. But politics is so frustrating here

I was in school when Metro was under construction at Prabhadevi (where i live). Colaba to Bandra Now, i am in college and still its under construction. Almost 10 yrs.

Badlapur-Vikhroli Magenta line will be a blessing for people living between Palava and Badlapur. Getting from Shilpata Area to any western suburb is very difficult right now.

I have lived in Delhi for 25 years and shifted to Mumbai 5 years back. Mumbai's local train network is so so well developed and trains are punctual to the dot. Mumbai needs only interconnecting metro lines e.g. more points to reach from harbour to central to western line.

Correct origin from thane. In morning platform no.9 &10 fully occupied by engineering college students and co-operate employees, you can't get train without fighting with someone it crazy war like situation 🥲. Same situation in evening after 5pm. Because both students as well employees get day off 😶

Gov. should plan METRO NEO over MTHL as full metro construction is not possible due to weight issue. It will connect sewri(mumbai mainland) to NAINA & new airport.

they should extend metro one from Ghatkopar by just 1 km to Amar Mahal/Chembur close to harbour line station, so western local train line don't have to go to Vadala to take harbour line to travel to Navi Mumbai Panvel.

The first phase of Thane - bhiwandi - Kalyan metro will be operational by December 2023 and the entire route will be ready in 2024. Kasarvadavli - Wadala route is a bit delayed.. it will be completed by 2025.

We are 50 year's Late in providing Metro Infrastructure to the Mumbaikar's.and For this failure Mumbai City Became Slum Capital of the World.And unfortunately more than 56% of Mumbaikar's Were forced to live in Slums. The Same Situation is arising in the MMR region, As Metro Infrastructure needs to be connected till Virar, Ambernath, Titwala, Neral, Khopoli, And Palghar , Manor So That People Can Move to affordable Housing Zones.

CSMIA to NMIA line should be fast metro like Airport metro or Orange Line in Delhi. Orange line was supposed to be India's first Rapid metro with speeds upto 135kmph not RRTS but DMRC fudged up the construction on piers and ballastless tracks due to which it was stuck at 80kmph just like normal metro, although DMRC has started work for repairing and making additions to the infra now to speed it up back to 120kmph now, also plans are afoot to extend the same line to Jewar Airport so that it will connect IGI to Jewar with fast metro. Mumbaikars should take a similar approach to that and lobby for their Airport to Airport line and make sure that it is constructed for 180kmph max speed from the very beginning(could be more that's debatable) but 180kmph max speed IS A MUST. RRTS model could be applied and in future it can be extended from CSMIA towards north or south area or both.

Looking at the over crowded City of Mumbai, Metro Trains System should have been implemented in Mumbai a long ago, atleast 30-40 years back, when Kolkata had received its first Underground Metro-"Pataal Rail" during 1984. Mumbai is behind Kolkata by One Full Complete Generation when it comes to MRTS.

Kolkata Metro was built by Central govt and they have always ignored Mumbai when it comes to infra. All these metro lines are being built by state govt with its own funding and by taking loans from ADB/World Bank.

@@Yuvraj. Yes, I know what trams are, but imo, as they are built on land level, they overcrowd the existing transportation systems. Our cities don't have broad streets like America or China, and what streets we do have, they also get encroached upon by shops, taxis, houses, etc. Imo the better intra-city transit would include metros, neo-metro, BRTS, double decker buses, and for short distances and suburban areas, e-rickshaws.

@@im-moral look into how trams are integrated in most European cities. They do it well, we should seek to adopt their best practices. Look at Paris for example of how to do it in Delhi, as well as look at the smaller systems in west Germany for how we can do it in the villages or other less metropolitan areas.

Currently, the Chalo app for BEST buses is working great, it can track buses accurately down to one minute. Currently there's also an app for local railway tickets. Putting these pieces together, a comprehensive Mumbai travel app might actually be under development right now. Let's wait for it 🤞

Bhayander to Virar metro line needs to be speeded up. Even West & East Express metro line 7 and 2A need to be connected in between say @ Kandivali and Goregaon , to reduce East- West traffic congestion . Virar to Thane metro line is needed which can be connected @ Gaimukh.

Firstly nice explanation in the video! But do criticizes if needed, metro is coming 20 to 25 yrs late in Mumbai. The order in which metro lines are developed are totally non acceptable. Eg line 7 could have waited abit. Line 4 is more important including powai to goregoan line. Plus is there any road parking and space made for bus or vehicle movement below the metro stations. Eg Autorickshaw stations or taxi stands. Everyone are going to block the main roads below. 😒

Im a College student I use to work but bhot bar meko goregaon se ghatkopar aana jana hota tha first visit I used metro which quite expensive for return ticket 60rs as compared to train only 20rs goregaon ghatkopar in short train are more economical most of mumbaikar will travel in train. only gen z or paise Wale will choose metro option (yellow line)

Warna mumbai k population 2cr k upar hai aur daily morning 1cr log mumbai mein aakar 3cr k upar population kar dete aur jaane k time phir se 2cr. Iska matlab kitna b infrastructure bana lo koi fayda nahi jab tak ki mumbai k aage k areas ka development nahi hota hai

I told this to many people 10 yrs ago. I live in mumbai. And here in western except virar and boriwali most locals are empty. Cuz mumbai and suburban population is less than thane, vizag, Kolkata,delhi, banglore. People who come from outside mumbai becuz of them population is more. People troll mumbai for population bt actually mumbai have less population and even 43% of that population lives in slums.

To those unfamiliar with Mumbai's terrain and ground barriers, a bird’s eye view of the metro lines resembles tangled spaghettis strings and a blight on India's financial capital. Ideally it should be a north-south and east-west grid, except for the large the national park splitting the East and West suburbs. A fantasy would be Manhattan type underground sub-way grid, but that would take a lot of digging, trillions, and years. So, the spaghetti lines should provide lot of relief to the long suffering commuters, most of whom are virtually clinging to their life in packed trains.

I don't think so. Minimum local train fare is ₹5/- Minimum one way & metro fare is ₹20/- one way. However metro will give alternative to the hegemony of taxi & rickshaw drivers. Metro can give competition to buses in Mumbai who aren't so comfortable or have air conditioned as metro but charge as much as metros.

I am not a resident of Mumbai, but I personally think Mumbai should have heavily invested and extended its Monorail service. As Mumbai is the financial capital and the maya-nagari, I personally think Mumbai should have had something that was unique and exclusive to Mumbai only. Even now the Mumbai Monorail looks so different and modern then the brand new Mumbai Metro rakes. Something that the Mumbaikars could have proudly boasted off. Metro is everywhere in India, but Monorail only in Mumbai.

Much of metro railway work has not been given required due diligence. If it has to run in parallel to roads then routes are not optimized. Required possible straight lines. Metro 1 is still efficient route

Pls do not think of investing in properties in Mumbai or Delhi.. Life is more Comfortable in any other tier 2 or tier 3 city.. In Big Cities, most of our time is spent in travelling long distances which is not required in Small Cities and Towns

Just curious..what about people who are staying in Naigaon, Vasai, Virar..beyond Dahisar? Why people living here are cursed? How many years they should suffer? Can anyone understand pain of people living in this area? Only connectivity is Western Railway local train and there is no other public transportation. Bus connectivity is horrible. Virar Alibaug is going to serve office going people purposes? Vasai-Diva line only few train are running that too late and many times get canceled. People are dependent on this for connectivity between Central and Trans-Harbour route.

Bruhhh, People are going crazy like "Properties are too expensive in Mumbai" and shit, brooo his main point in this video is that don't invest in major Mumbai, instead invest in outer suburbs like Palava and others like Dombivli, Kalyan and Navi Mumbai, prices here are Humongously cheaper than Greater Mumbai and due to these metro constructions connectivity is also superb comparable to Greater Mumbai

Kalyan se thane tak ek parallel to local train line banani chaiye. dombivli aur diva sabse jada crowded stations hai. Dombivli se subeh train niklati hai to diva tak bhar bhi jati hai. Aur us route me ek bhi metro line nahi hai.

1)I would like to suggest you a new metro Airoli/ Rabale- EEH-nahur stn- LBS marg- WEH-malad/goregaon stn-sv road. Another east west connectivity. 2) The work for the bridge and tunnel is already in progress so a double decker bridge just like nagpur and 2 in 1 tunnel. What do you think about it?

Real estate rates in Mumbai starts from 20K/sqft to 2.5L/sqft. It is growing by at least 5% per year. A 10X10 sqft room in south Mumbai costs round 1Cr.

It was absolutely essential for a massive city like Delhi to have an extensive transport system. The population explosion in Mumbai was so massive that it couldn't upgrade it's system with time
